Disclaimer & comment rulesWell, a new demonstration of the Argentina´s authorities about their normal bad behaviour......If LAN Argentina is addressed on Argentina and created as an Argentine company, why then is treated as foreign company ???? Once again they delete with the elbow what they have written with the hand.....normal, of course for Argentina´s Gvt.
Jan 12th, 2012 - 09:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If the Argentine Gvt. is pressing LAN to give up with their weekly flight to Falklands is a coward and abusive position that one day the history will charge you...
No more Lan or no more Land R. ? :-)))
Jan 12th, 2012 - 09:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Lan operating from Punta Arenas in the extreme south of Chile flies the only weekly link of the Islands with the South American conflict
Jan 12th, 2012 - 11:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Conflict ?
Freudian slip mercopre$$ ???
:)
THis one first appeared a few weeks ago, but yes I suspect it will form the Blackmail position of CFK to Lan:
Jan 12th, 2012 - 11:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Lan can have its landing slots back- AND MORE - at prime times at cheap rates...... just drop that MPN flight please.
If you dont drop the MPN flight - then Lan will increasing find itself financially penalized and screwed in Argentina.
Blackmail- similar to Blackmail done against HamburgSud to make them drop their Falkands Container service last year!
Sad woman - all she can do is blackmail! It will all come back and bite her arse one day!
It will inconvenience us for a week or two until we get other arrangements into operation, thats all. But it will stop Arg passport holders ever visiting the Islands again, including Next of Kin families etc from ever visiting their war graves again!

Jan 13th, 2012 - 05:51 am - Link - Report abuse 0Dark clouds sometimes have a silver lining.
Do you really want lots of Argentine passport holders tramping all over the place?
l don't.
Its astonishing that the Chileans just lay back and roll over for the Argentinians. I wonder if Argentinian planes will loose their slots in Santiago.Does Chile or even Lan Chile have a backbone ?
Jan 13th, 2012 - 11:24 am - Link - Report abuse 0Perhaps TAM will be banned from the BA airport also.

Jan 13th, 2012 - 06:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Told you so months ago.........
Out here, in the real world, it's called “business”.
You scratch my back…………......… I scratch your back.
You better start “Thinking” about employing a lot of Saints to do your menial work…..
Think- indeed you did. I doubted that as I was expecting just a bribe to Lan - which as a reputable airline they may well have rejected. Admit I had forgotten how low people sink to on your side and the level of actual commercial Blackmail that appears as daily normality!
Jan 13th, 2012 - 09:04 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yes everywhere business is reality- we certainly live in the real world here rather than the Kirschener fantasy one! and you scratch my back I scratch yours etc to an extent - but luckily the majority or the world does not sink to threats and straight blackmail to achieve their ambition!
As said though - it will piss us off a bit more, cause a few hiccups for a few weeks until the option is in place - then we will carrry on totally seperate to- and not giving a damn for- South America!
Tell me who would be the long term winners ?
We will see what happens. Plenty of good Chileans here - and they will still be able to get home for hols without going to Europe first- dont worry! We might even arrange for them all to have British citizenship as well anyway!
If it happens - it will be the Arg passport holders living here who could find themselves on a very dodgy wicket - unless they renounced their passport and took out a British one of course!
@9lslander1,
Jan 13th, 2012 - 09:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0lf they obtained British passports, do you see them ever returning to Argentina?
The gateway to the world is open to them, then.♥
Geo: Perhaps TAM will be banned from the BA airport also.
Jan 15th, 2012 - 03:13 am - Link - Report abuse 0If you follow the logic, Cristina would be forced to ban TAM to (considering TAM been acquired by LAN)
