Foreign Secretary William Hague during a major speech on foreign policy in Brazil said that the UK will always uphold sovereignty over the Falkland Islands and the rights of the Islanders to self determination. Read full article
I absolutely agree Brazil should get a permanent seat on the UNSC. If they continue on the path of looking outwards and globally, they will make a good addition.
Yes, the UK supports the trade agreement with Mercosur but France will fight it tooth and nail.
@2 geo,
But that's terrible geo, l couldn't cross swords with señor Think then!
Or discuss conspiracy theories with you!
Don't you think that its a curb on your freedom, geo?
unfortunately that is true ..all countries have their own forbidden
applied list ..
for instance ,in England internet you can not find /access all web sites
this is valid for all other countries...cencorship/autocontrol...!!
Looks like LUCA PRODAN, scottish man who live here and made SUMO !
Que dificil debio ser para hagues que un canciller del tercer mundo le diga a su britanica majestitud NOSOTROS APOYAMOS EL RECLAMO DE SOBERANIA ARGENTINA-----
@9 Rosarino
Hague is the foreign secretary not the chancellor. Revelant point is the Brazillians listened to him (or fell asleep) either way their support for the Argentinian position is somewhat underwhelming.
A good point here could be,
What if brazil and great Britain went ahead into trade and a partnership on other things like ships and planes, oil other minerals, a possible partnership in the making,
And Argentina can sit back and watch in awe,
Whilst her great imagination went of into the sunset, and left Argentina behind, with tears in her eyes .
We dont want foreigns in our land. Three thousands of peoples no submit one continent. Trade is trade, and it is is good for our people. But, more important is our culture, language, traditions and holy sacraments of Catholic Church. Falklands no we. Falklands is one cancer in South América.
UK is in crisis,so a representative visits brazil and says, they leads free trade in Europe and that they have a deal with mercosur.I could have emailed that.
Once again the UK wants to exploit SA.
SA will have it own type of society, and not be a resource for UK.
@13 Mr.Brasileiro thank you for your Inteligents Comments-
@ 11 PUGOL: I said the chancellor of Brasil--- I know Hagues is Foreign S-
@12 BRITON: we have a MERCOSUR AGREEMENT whit our brothers of Brasil- And that include INTEGRATION IN SEVERAL LEVELS: Political, cultural, commercial, defence, etc.
Mr. Hagues went to the house of OUR partner: we are happy when they made good bussiness whit others countryes.
And we are happy when they support us in MALVINAS SOVEREIGNITY RIGTHS-
You, british people, has made agreements whit people who syas WE HAVE RIGTHS ON MALVINAS.... and the people who live there have no other identity as british- NO AUTODETERMINATION-
If you want to be by yourself, please sent british to home, declare your independence, and put yous ass in the ONU DECOLIZATION COMMITE and talk whit us-
Regardsssss !
PD: I hope 25-26 January Cristina close definitely the fligths to Malvinas----or take the other better way-
Yep... the Falkland Flag thing is a fizzer.... the stopping of the flights from Punta would be another fizzer.... an inconvenience for some but still a fizzer...
So then what is left in the RG bag of tricks... any more rabbits??? Nope....
I think that is when her head will implode... ( being as there seems to be a vacuum in there) .....
As a brazilian i feel ashamed to see compatriots saying bullshit in forums, like holy sacraments of churchs to argue in international relations. Probably some freak guy from the worker‘s party. However, lets see the facts, first of all, Brazil dont care about who own those islands. We just support Argentina because we are tied to them to the eternity and its worse to have another player in the south atlantic theater (military and politically speaking).
thinking racionally, its just a waste of time, the islands doesnt have any economic appeal, the oil extraction require too much investment and is a risk operation, even Brazil (world leader in this segment) has problems.
I think the argentine government is trying to put the attention out of economic issues , like the military did.
Well mates, its just my opinion.Sorry for any grammar mistakes.
Greetings from Rio to argies and brits and the islanders.
