The Falkland Islands urged the EU Commission to ensure that the rights of citizens of Overseas Counties and Territories are not compromised in relations with countries and regional bodies. Read full article
4 Malvinero1 ---- AHAHHAHAAHHAA...Since the Eu is going to care about the brits.....
Silly boy the people on the Falkland Islands are classed as part of the EU. I know you don't get about much but I would have thought even a dimmest barmy Argy would have known that. Seems they don't teach you barmy Argys much as school. But why does that not surprise me as they teach you lot of barmy idiots that the Falkland's belong to Argentina something that the whole world knows is not true except you bunch of psychopaths
Now it appears that the 15 members of Caricom and the 27 members of the EU will be on the side of the Falkland Islanders. Wonder if 32 countries can get the USA to change its stance? Haven't got as far as the Commonwealth yet. That'll be 54 independent member states.
@4 But they do care about the natural resources, strategic significance & the further territorial claims on the antarctic. The EU officially supports the Islanders & while not rejecting Argentina's claim it also doesn't support it either. Recent protests to the EU by Argentina have fallen on deaf ears. While they consider the matter a bilateral issue they also confirm the Falkland Islands are included as a territory of the EU & the islanders fall under EU protection.
Treaty of Lisbon, signed by 27 EU member states on Dec. 13, 2007.
Annex Two of that document lists countries and overseas territories now part of the EU, including the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the South Sandwich Islands, and the UK's Antarctic territory.
Seems the EU has future plans including turning the Falklands into an EU military base as well as using the Islands as a launch point for the EU's expansion into the antarctic. A report commissioned by the European Parliament wants bases like Gibraltar, Cyprus and the Falklands operating under EU flags as part of the European Security and Defence Policy.
All of this hot air and noise, who care's what some Spanish colonist's think. Just ignore them, if they invade again we'll deal with them, personally I'd like to see strikes on mainland Argentina if it comes to it I don't think we went far enough last time.

It would be great if the EU is willing to step up to the dish and give refuge to all this insubordinated illegal aliens, we will have to wait and see how the EU themselves treat the gipies and Irish. last I hear Canada and USA is run by EU inplanted minority to theft natural resources from native people as is happening in africa and now south America, nothing has changed much other then the more settled form of oppression by the elite.
