President Hugo Chavez as Fidel alway one step a head of the game and the rest with Antigua 10 meetings behind the rest, as a matter of fact mercopress woke them up for a special british junalist meeting clearly stated on rush prime article.
”Hugo Chavez, has said that his country (Venezuela) will provide troops should Argentina decide to go to war again over the Falkland Islands.” maybe Chavez can give Argentina support on a nuclear defence program, even an H-bomb will make the brits twice before war mongering and sending a nuclear sub to Argentina.

The Argentine's looking more and more desperate, scraping the barrel and resorting the tactics of third world states like Zimbabwe. With standards like that, you know your in a banana republic. I feel sorry for all the decent Argentines dragged along by these childish games. CFK out of her depth and drowning fast.

@2 You think the UK has any concern AT ALL over the joke that is Chavez?

If there was any mention of the H-Bomb the UK will simply turn both countries into a nuclear waste ground. It is quite clear neither country can threaten the UK in such a way. This is all irrelevant anyway since the UK has never threatened either country with a nuclear strike and the submarines around Argentine waters are NUCLEAR POWERED not NUCLEAR ARMED!

Lets also not forget the Type 45 (HMS Dantless is equipped to shot down Ballistic missiles, heck it can even track satellites and knock them out of space should it wish to do so).

Also Chavez is all empty words because any aggression towards the UK will give the US carte blanch to turn their number one enemy in the region into rubble. Not that the UK needs the US's help. Chavez's military is clearly no match for the UK's military and neither are the two combined.

The failure of the Argentine government to understand threats against British citizens just makes the British government and people all the more determined to show its huge might against an aggressor.

Anyway back to the story it could be a genuine misunderstanding although I doubt it, just Timmerman getting himself carried away again and speak words that aren't the truth.

Oh dear looks like the daygos are being economical with the truth.....again!

    2. Prat hunter.....thats all very well and nice of that baboon Chavez to say that....one question.....hows he going to get the troops down there without us noticing, bearing in mind that Venzeulas capability for expeditionary warfare is as a big a joke as Argentina's and that there are only two FAA bases close enough to reach the Falklands, what would happen if various bits of crappy soviet bloc hardware starts showing up I wonder? Good night vienna!

The fact of the matter remains Argentina even with Venezuelan help poses no threat to the islands what so ever , you have no capability to deploy enough troops let alone supply them, your air transport capability is a joke (as is Venezuelas) and even the Irish have a bigger Amphibious capability than your poor excuse for a navy :)

It is pretty funny. This is the same Argie politician who claims support from all over the world for Argentina's colonial ambitions. Needless to say he interprets things in a different way from normal people.

With the exception of a few countries, all the rest have just stated a desire to solve this in a diplomatic way, that however means support for their colonial ambitions as far as Argentina is concerned.

@2 Oh, good. Chavez supports argieland. That's a forthcoming disaster, then. Of course, Chavez wants to use his air force (snigger) before the wings rust right through and drop off. The Venezuelan air force has 202 aircraft. The most capable Venezuelan combat aircraft is the Sukhoi Su-30. Venezuela has 24. The Typhoon has equal capability, but the RAF already has 86. The Royal Air Force has 1,004 with more coming. For example, another 74 Typhoons. 14 Airbus Voyager MRTTs. Another 14 Chinooks. That makes 1,116. Venezuelan navy has 27 vessels. The Royal Navy has 98. Venezuelan army has 120,000 troops. British Army has over 264,000. Venezuelan army has 84 main battle tanks. Britain has over 400. So let's look forward to Chavez' assistance.

Thinking about it, in 1982 argieland sent 66,000 troops, 4 naval task groups and around 200 aircraft to invade, occupy and defend the Falkland Islands. Despite the withdrawal of many ground troops and their replacement by occupation troops, Britain still took over 11,000 prisoners, destroyed 9 vessels and 100 aircraft in 24 days. And the British Army, RAF and RN are better equipped now.

Worth bearing in mind that no South American country has nuclear weapons. Britain does!

Was it only yesterday that Twinky was pleading with someone, anyone to send argieland an ATOMIC submarine?

#5 and #6 the Canadian and USA consider illegal aliens people without rights and they all will be deported as Mexicans and Romanian gypsys are deported in USA and UK if the white trash racist think it is ok to arm illegal aliens and terrorists don't be surprise if some Muslim group ends up with their own nuke to turn london into rubbles, but we Argentines don't need nukes when we can use our bear hands. here is something funny, we will let UK do the threatening and we will do the decapitation. what our government is too scare to do with our army our people will accomplish with their bear hands, here is al little sample of the life british can expect to have in LatinAmerica for years to come.

LOL who is next??? I consider the threat of nuclear armed terrorists and illegal aliens in islas Malvinas Argentina a threat to Argentina's security, and I demand our Argentina's government to build our own nuclear defence program to rid Argentina of british nuclear armed occupation by british pirates and illegal aliens, Argentina has the right to self determination to build their own nuclear defence program or an H-bomb to rid Argentina of british illegal aliens who are armed with a nuclear submarine. kill all war mongers and their cronies in our land is our new trademark and every brit is a target.

Thank you #16 Pirat-Hunter for this very illuminating incite into the mind of the Argentinian population. It would be laughable if I did not think you actually meant it - but you do!! . Considering the internal 'security' history of Argentina against its own population who were supressed and lied to, spirited away, tortured and murdered for decades. That blood lust does not go away easily and I shudder to think what the Argentinians would do if they invaded the islands. Not a single Islander would be safe from the fear of 'Disappearing' at the hands of its 'new' Government.

When he finally gets caught for doing something extreme all of his neighbours and colleagues will tell the police that they realised something was strange about him but they didn't imagine he would do something so horrific.

@29 - They are, as its clear to the rest of the world they are not of normal human blood stock - If they were, they wouldn't cry like babies when they are adults, they wouldn't go whining to other countries and then make misleading and false statements that the other country has agreed to do something that they have not actually agreed to at all, and last but not least, they wouldn't bully and harass other people and then go round the world claiming they are the victims if they were for this planet. How they got to earth from the home world is beyond me, as they clearly don't have the intelligence to build a space ship - Oh wait i get it now, the other nations on their home world got so dam sick of them they deported them and dumped them here, no wonder their population expanded so quickly in the last century lol.

how many reasons can argentina give to back up their claims,
for what reasons do they give, and why do they claim them .

    Feb 11th, 2012 - 11:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0
  • Teaboy2

    @31

Argetine reasons that do not add up:

1 - Inherited from spain - Spain never ceased its claim to the islands to 1860's
2 - Islands were part od the united provinces - The united provinces southern borders were no where near the islands, e.g. a good 1000 or so miles away, patagonia inhabited by natives indians were closer.
3 - Territorial integrity claim - In the 1800's till the 1890's patagonia and tierro del feugo were not part of the united province and belonged to the native indians. By that logic the native indians have a much stronger claim under territorial integrity than the united provinces did.

Also the native indians have a valid claim for sovereingty of argentina, after all they owned the land before the spanish and the argentinians did. Argentia is trying to use the same arguement that they owned the falklands in order to get soveriengty. So i say let us brits support the native south american indians claim for sovereignty of argentina, they after all have a valid claim going by argentinas arguements of past ownership, even though as clearly shown in the 3 points above, neither argentine or the united provinces ever owned or ever had any sovereingty over the islands at all.

    Agreed
    By their own logic
If they can claim the Falklands
Then the native south American Indians
    Can claim Argentina,
    That seems fair to me,
All they have to do now, is find a representative and file the claim with the UN .

This is Argentine islands and Argentine oil, being drilled by colonial pirates, protect by pirate ships, sooner all destroyed better.

Clearly, Malvinas is Argentine, claim exist since before Argentina exist. This is well documented that we renounce claim in 1850 but claim was resurrected under Peron who traveled to Italy and adopted policies of Mussolini fascist party in order to make Argentina great nation that it became.

As part of expanded living space, we must continue this policy and we must take over Terra del Fuego and Beagle Channel and then Malvinas.

My grandfather while working for Intelligence visit Indonesia in 1976 to copy plans they used for invasion of Portuguese East Timor and removal of colonial population to be copied in invasion of Malvinas.

If we had copied these plans our invasion would be success and like East Timor is part of Indonesia, Malvinas would now be part of Argentina. World has very short memory.

In order to do good for our country we must do bad things. This is what my grandfather always says.

We know Malvinas never been under Argentine sovereignty but gifted to us by Papal Bull in 1496. No one can argue with Pope or God, that whole of South America given by him to Spain.

Go home colonial pirates w claim you land before our country exist, you can not argue with that. You live there almost 200 years illegally, you have no rights. We will own your homes, farms, businesses, oil and fish.

You will be made to speak Spanish, drive on right, obey our laws, live under our government and governor. In return we give you right to be reborn like our national hero James Peck.

James Peck is son of Malvinas War traitor Terry Peck, he was awarded MBE for helping British occupy our land. Unlike his father, James is brave, patriot, his father will be turning in his grave.

You can all be reborn like James Peck. Or you can die like Terry Peck!

Please explain to the rest of the world how argentina could make a claim priort to argentina existing, when the islands were never part of the United Provinces and were claimed by Spain and Britain up till the 1860's when spain ceded its claim. What your saying is that you had a claim before you existed, thats like a baby having a dummy to suck on before the baby was born. Next you will be saying trees grow upside down according to your logic.

At least you admit to being in breach of the 1850's treaty that settled all disputes with britain, where therefore means you can not use any other treaty to support your claim as its clear you do not honour treaties in which your a signatory too. Same for the UN charter, your a signatory to it yet by refusing the islanders the right to self determination, you are in fact in breach of the UN Charter itself. Argentina should as a result be thown out of the UN and the G20.

    Two different flags.
Flag no. 1, from the civilised Falkland Islands says: “Desire the Right.”
That flag is a great and beautiful example for most countries' flags!
Flag no. 2, from the uncivilised Argentine “Republic,” screams “Volveremos!”
What does that mean? In Argentinian juridical slang “dialogue,” means to occupy.
In other words, “volveremos,” means we shall re-occupy.” Nothing less.
    Cheers,

    Philippe

Here is a film everyone should watch. It should be compulsory education in Argentine schools to learn about their country recent history, instead of teaching lies about the Falkland Islands (the imaginary Malvinas - which Argentina has NEVER had sovereignty over).

That something like this was allowed to happen is a crime against humanity, 50,000-100,000 raped, tortured, mutilated, murdered and disappeared (Borges). Unborn babies ripped out of their mothers wombs, young children taken from their parents, who were murdered by the heroic Argentine military.

Anyone of you born in the 70's? I hope your lucky enough to know who your real parents are...

The Official Story / La historia official (1985)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7LF5II0wIY

It's a film everyone should watch. Feel shame because the specter of fascism still grips Argentina and as Martino Moreno said “If publishing the truth is forbidden, then lies, ignorance and poverty will follow”.

Argentina's history is still being written by Moreno's assassins.
