    Well done Harry!

Who knows, one day you may be in the South Atlantic with your gunship out shooting an 'Old Crow' dressed in black.

Let us hope it is sooner rather than later. :o)

These media pieces on the royals in military mode are the UK government's veiled but not-so-ambiguous signal that the British military and political leaders are keeping a very close eye on matters to do with Argentina.
There will be no mistaking the signals in BA. That happened once before, and the UK government is making absolutely sure there is no scope for misreading signals this time.

#4 - GeoffWard, actually the UK press has been keeping up a constant 'commentary' regarding Prince Harry's helicopter training for the last 2 years and his wish to continue serving his country with his army colleagues in Afganistan ! He has never mentioned anything in relation to fighting or 'keeping a very close eye on' the Falklands. In fact given his enthusiasm for polo, I would rather expect he has many friends in Argentina !!!
His brother, being 2nd in line for the Throne is rightly kept out of any combat situation but is himself serving in a dangerous and highly skilled aviation role with the RAF as part of its Air Sea Rescue Service.

Very good response to Mr. ”Insufferable” GeoffWard………..

About Polo, Argentina and the Royals………..:
It may be a cock-and-bull story, but during the last 30 years I have several times heard, from different sources, a story about the Duke allegedly saying to Lizzy:

“I would gladly exchange those Islands for a pair of their best players.“

Seems we have got a ”very dangeroussss keyboard psycho” in our midst...

This is the fifth time in the last couple of months that “Mr. ChrisR” mentions his beloved and lethal ”Razor Sharp Flick-Knife” to us…:

    ”(12) ChrisR Dec 13th, 2011
…..I can cut their throats on the fly with my razor sharp flick-knife. And it will be back in my pocket before they have finished dying and anyone knows who has done it.”

    ”(67) ChrisR Feb 02nd, 2012
I would keep my mouth shut in case someone (like me) came along and slashed your left carotid artery, your windpipe and your right carotid artery from behind you (with my razor sharp flick-knife) before you even knew what was happening……..”

A perfect example for the “low quality” of some Anglo posters on these pages…..
I would place him in the same category as Mr. Pirat-Hunter, our resident Argie loonie….

    What a Turnip!

    Dear Audi,
I think you failed to read the English correctly.
The 'message' is not passed by the royals, it is the British government passing a message to the Argentinian government via the media. And if it has been doing this for the last few years, it is because it perceives a need to keep the Argentinians constantly informed about its protectorate responsibility.

    Wrt polo, Sr. Think,
around 1870 some 40% of the B.A. (='Argentina') population were British.
They brought both polo and football (along with quality schools) to the 'new continent', initially for the dalliance of the colonial classes, but subsequently translocated it into the more indigenous communities in Argentina - and also in Uruguay and Brasil.
Ah, yes, the continent has much to thank the British for.

    @13
Your point is noted and accepted, I would however respectfully suggest that in both countries the Media is mostly responsible (especially in the UK) for its bullish arrogance and 'playing up' a good story to see how its readership is whipped into a frenzy, I expect that this is true in Argentina also, and those who are susceptible unleash their anger & aggression in comments forums. I would not wish to be though of as angry or aggressive. Re your comments on polo & football, surely you cannot be upset that the British introduced football ??? lol

    Hey Prince, What is next?

Are you going to play with submarine or you are going to practice how to shoot a missile to Argentina.?? You are such a man. I am glad you can use tax money of ALL YOUR COLONIES and your servants that has paid. In this newspaper you will find many who are kiss your hands and something else.

    (13) Mr. GeoffWard……………….

One of the reasons I call you ”Insufferable” is because you insist in discrediting and shaming British Academia (to which you so adamant pledge to belong) at every possible occasion with silly asseverations like :

”AROUND 1870 SOME 40% OF THE B.A. (= ARGENTINA) POPULATION WERE BRITISH.”

Where in Earth do you get your information from???

Please find below a link to the real population numbers in 1870´s Buenos Aires:

    http://www.revistapersona.com.ar/Persona34/34DHowlin.htm

Not even a 2% of Buenos Aires population was of British origin in 1870.
