The Argentine Confederation of Transport Workers, CATT announced Monday a boycott against all those “English vessels” that call in any port of the country to protest the UK “militaristic pretensions” in the Malvinas Islands and South Atlantic.

“As of today we have decided to boycott any vessel with the English flag, with the invented Falklands’ flag or registered under any of the convenience flags from the English pirates (Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar, Panama, Malta, etc.)” said CATT in a communiqué.

Under the slogan “We are all Malvinas” the CATT authorities headed by the taxi drivers’ union leader Omar Viviani, published an ad in the main newspapers arguing that “interpreting the national feeling, we have decided, seen the militaristic pretensions of the English, to use the tool us workers have”.

“Let the world be aware that the Argentine Nation is a peace loving people, with a deep humanitarian feeling but with the firm conviction of recovering the usurped territory”, added the document signed by Chairman Viviani and Secretary Omar Suarez.

CATT brings together the land, air and maritime transport unions. However no details were given as to how the decision is to be implemented.

“Let the world be aware that the Argentine Nation is a peace loving people, with a deep humanitarian feeling but with the firm conviction of recovering the usurped territory” are just lies, lies lies!

Totally peace loving in 1982 were you? You are a bunch of fascist-loving, banana-republic led murderers!

I am now putting together letters asking for a boycott on Argentinian goods, and for shops to remove products from their shelves. If they do not follow the boycott then they face embarrassment. Just like some supermarkets did over Israeli products.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhSU8rMJ9XE

“Let the world be aware that the Argentine Nation is a peace loving people, ignoring the War of the Triple Alliance, Beagle Conflict, Falklands War, Dirty War, Night of the Pencils, Ethnic Cleansing of Indigenous Population, with a deep humanitarian feeling by Ethnic Cleansing of the Indigenous Population but with the firm conviction of taking land that we squatted on illegally in 1800's and were removed by the true owners ”, added the document signed by Chairman Viviani and Secretary Omar Suarez.

I just waved the Hypocrisy-o-meter at this article and it bent around the top limit.

I admit this story made me laugh.

I guess its their right to deny their service to whatever ship they please, so long as those hiring them don't care. I woudn't, but whatever.
