@2 Thinking about it the Falklanders did the right thing in not sending back the war dead. Their isn't a hope in hell of the marmierdans ending this LAN flight if they know the Belgrano Malvinas Aerolingus flights would be turned down.

A lot of angry war veterans families unable to see graves doesn't make a very pro mafia-ghoul story.

Nice to see the two countries coming together in so many issues.
And it is great to see that Bolivar´s dream of a United States of South America is slowly materializing.THis MUST be the real goal for these countries that for so long have been manipulated by American interference. They must come together if they want to be a world power and have the best for their citizens.Let NOTHING stand in their way!!!

@4 Go ahead, unite. The Falklands are still British. And anyone that tries to forcibly change that is in for a world of pain. Deadly pain. A world power? They've already hit their peak. More queers than anywhere else in the world!

@5 still doesn't change the fact that the Falklands are in the Atlantic and not in South America. They can unite as much as they want, doesn't affect the Islanders.

@7 - CFK couldn't lead an ants nest. The ruler of this new country, which will be ALL OF SOUTH AMERICA will be Chavez. He'll probably keep CFK naked on a leash at his side for his personal use whenever he so desires. Pinera is (to put it nicely) a useful idiot. Just wait until a conflict starts up. He'll have to backpedal quickly once he realizes that the Chilean military are not going to fight for the loathsome Argentinians and their crazy expansionism.

Pinera is making small talk for the benefit of CFK then he's going to chuckle as the RGs keep buying cheaper goods from Chile. Tee hee suckers.

I just read some comments from the Argentine bloggers on C5N ! and I dont read much support for CFK, When a few weeks ago they were right behind her on the claim for the islands on C5N, in fact now they seem to slag her off. It seems they are tired of her constant lying.....

We are not concerned and expect Chile to side with Arg with words in public. They have to live alongside Argentina after all! Meanwhile our own relations with Chile continue with no problem- because their support for Arg over us is words and not practical. Even the flag issue is just words - it helps CFK feel good and stops earache on the phone for Pinera - and makes no difference to ships as they just put up a different colour British flag still showing they are british registered!

All this are just nice good breeding words to keep the things as ever and in last term to cool CFK off and nothing else that anyone can see. The chileans are not idiots knowing that the Kirchner have been always liers looking for their own very convenience, signing one thing and then doing another (the list is too long to put it here) so, this statement is more of the same.

“We seek to shatter every frontier,” Chilean president Sebastián Piñera told reporters after the meeting. He added “the right path is the total and permanent integration between both countries.” Cristina Fernández de Kirchner stressed these agreements “build paths” towards integration

Well I guess Chile has been very clear about his support to Argentina cause and the will to continue integration and brotherhood while extending co-operation in defence, science, economy, etc.

All positive things that lead to progress and better standards of living for both nations.

While in Gotham City locked in his hide-out in 10 Downing Street “The Joker”is driven by anger, madness and loneliness. Due to be isolated by Europeans, ignored by SA, mistreated by his master puppeteer Uncle Sam that doesn’t like him any more and economic woes is developing a new plan to take over the democratic a peaceful world with more lies and threats.

Will the “Joker” strike again? What infamous plan he has in his evil mind?

Don’t miss the next episode where “The Joker” will reveal his evil intention to take over the world with his nasty jokes and lies.

@18 Of course the argies will try again, when the economy is broken and there is nowhere to turn. But this time the British Armed Forces are waiting, trained, prepared, accustomed to the environment and unlikely to let your sorry souls anywhere near the beaches and your planes nowhere near the beautiful blue skies.

Then in another 30 years we'll do the same thing agin.

the fact is, British armed forces are at least two generations beyond Argentina’s, it would on current basses take Argentina at least 50 years to catch up, only by that time Britain would again be generations ahead,

So really the best she can hope for is a united South America,
And what are the chances of this happening,

    Of course miracles do happen?

@17 Excellent!! Thank you Snr Pinera. I'm sure that the Chilean people will be delighted by the idea of argie domination. A few items for you to mull over. Lamp posts. Hooks. Piano wire. Your future.
@22 You have trouble with the “0” digit, don't you? The British economy is at least 1,000 times better than yours. Don't be concerned, child. You can be DESTROYED any time we choose.
@23 Last time I saw anyone like you, he finished up with a cyanide pill down his throat and a bullet through his brain. As I recall, he also thought the UK was nothing. Best to accept the inevitable and cut your throat now!

    @Conqueror

I how will you do that? Jumping into the forum?

You will need a ticket to Buenos Aires first you can find some here http://www.despegar.com/

Then you will need some weapons to be bought locally because I really doubt that you can get into a plane from Ukistan carry one. http://www.despegar.com/

Then you will need to be skilled on Spanish language to move around.

Then you will need a local health type insurance or coverage just in case your killing plan goes so wrong and you need desperately medical assistance. Anyway don’t worry you can be dumped into some free of charge hospital.

Then police issue you know? You will have to escape before they shoot you in your head and dump you into a NN morgue.

Well you have something to start with I guess, happy killing and don’t forget to write your will just in case you know.

Funny how the British here talk about our economy when theirs is far worse! We are still growing unlike you!!!

    [Interesting thought]
If Britain is and has flat lined for the last couple of years, and Argentina in real terms has grown at a tremendous rate,
Then why is it, that Argentina has failed to equal or overtake the British economy,
The truth is, even while we are and have been flat lining, we are so far ahead of Argentina, that it would take decades to come anywhere near the British,

And when we do start to grow, just how further back do you really think CFK will fall behind,
Supports her all you like, but facts are facts, and she is just using you guys to hide the mess argentine is truly in,
By all means don’t believe us, just believe your very own eyes, if indeed you own them, and CFK does not rent them to you .lol.

    @ briton

Have you ever heard about over valued currencies?

Britain has followed an economic path pro banks and gambler investors during decades with an over valued currency (close to 2 dollars for a Pound) to drive them to its shores to the cost of destroying her manufacturing industry, traditional business, etc.

Everything made in Britain even now with a devalued Pound and shitty salaries is still too expensive to compete in the world. What produces a hole in UK trade of more than 150b dollars and is part of what have created your debt.

Argentina has passed for the same problem with 1=1 dollar peg system so to turn business competitive to export has to devaluated its currency 4 times to the dollar.

What I want to say is that the size of the economies is relative when it is measured in dollar or monetary terms as bankers and all organisations like IMF, WB, etc. do. You have to measure the real output to have a real overview of the size of a given economy.

So here an example how currency distortion can reflect another thing:

If all countries would fix their currency to 1x= 1 dollar (convertibility like in the olds times with the gold standard) UK’s economy will be little than Argentina economy. UK= 1 trillion Arg= 2,033 trillions. And Brazil will be 4 times bigger than the economy of UK.

Value of currencies at the moment does not reflect the real value.

Yeah mate your economy can go to even further down like the drains if you loose your AAA rating.
