Kirchner's interpretation of a free trade block: “Heads I win, tails YOU lose”
Brazil and the other members must demand that the de-facto import restrictions 1) STOP or 2) that all members apply their own selective restrictions or 3) that MERCOSUR be scrapped.

The development or the collapse of Mercosur will be flagged up by any changes in the leadership style, effectiveness and 'power' that Brasil might be able to bring to the table during its term of leadership.

Uruguay will back Brasil in trying to make things happen - eg effective protocols that enable Mercosur to interact effectively with othe trading partners/blocs. Paraguay is a tiny member but politically important as 3 to 1 is a more powerful negotiating position than 2 to 2 alongside Argentina. I'm sorry, but I still think the 'nigger in the woodpile' is Argentina - she seems to have little sense of group responsibility, responsibility to and for the group of four nations.

Thanks for your concern, Fido #8. I posted the phrase to see if it was controversial; I guess the USA is sensitive.
I have posted before that I stay out of the USA until Homeland Security loosen up.
The only barr I know is epstein.
And Eurodisney is just an hour away when I am in the UK.
    Have a good day. G.
