    @2 Did you help any of them to repatriate funds from their dead uncle's bank account?

    Can you credit it a bunch of low life lunatics want to run the World Bank, and pray why should these low life's be allowed to be anywhere near a bank never mind the World Bank. They will soon bring it down to the level of their third World countries

    I think the adage 'he who pays the piper calls the tune' is most relevant to this story.

    @6 We're all hoping that the saying isn't 'he who doesn't pay the piper gets $3 Billion to magically lose'.

    I'd just like to echo the comments from everyone on here. Absolutely staggering that any sort of consideration would be given to a south American or a Nigerian given the history of both countries financially.

    I have no doubt that scandal would envelope the WB if such candidates were put in charge.

    Looks like this is a race to the bottom and not the top.

    I can see the US giving up this tied post just a few moments after Europe gives up theirs in charge of the IMF.

    Well here's the answer folks, and it's NOT Hilary Clinton:

    “President Barack Obama has nominated Jim Yong Kim, the president of the Dartmouth College and a global-health expert, as the new president of the World Bank.”

    Another non-entity who went to college with a major US Politico. No change there then.

    @12

    Well, in Argentina at least suspects get processed. In Britain, they are just shot dead, then ask the questions.
