United Airlines will begin daily non-stop service between its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Buenos Aires, Argentina's, Ministro Pistarini (Ezeiza) International Airport on April 6. Read full article
Well, I'm going to be a bit more positive and welcome this one with open arms.
Getting long-haul seats on flights in and out of Buenos Aires can be a royal pain in the arse - and at times a near impossibility - so that instead of flying directly in/out of Buenos Aires you end up taking pot luck on whatever flight you can get in/out .. and then build the rest of your travel plans around that. This can easily add an extra day, or two, to travel arrangements and often leads to the bizarre situation where you fly out of Buenos Aires on an Air Fleabag flight to Shitsville, Nowhere; for a connecting flight to Sao Paulo, or Rio, where you kick your heels in transit for ten hours, or more, whilst you wait for a long-haul flight which left Buenos Aires the day after you did, but was fully booked for the first short leg ... and almost empty for the rest.
So, anything that is long-distance non-stop and allows a quick transit at a busy major airport just has to be a huge improvement.
And just what did you all expect from Argentina, a repeat performance of course.......for your viewing pleasure:
