Major industrial action threatens Argentine ports at harvest export peak

The Argentine maritime workers union, SOMU, decided not to work overtime, a measure which affects most ports from inland Rosario on the Paraná River to Bahía Blanca on the South Atlantic, when thousands of trucks are lined up with the summer harvest. Read full article

    It's no good striking when you services are not wanted, so they got that bit right.

    However, their intransigence smacks of blackmail against the employers because they know the employment law backs the strikers everytime.

    They don't need a Mad Bitch in Argentina, she will be incapable of sorting this, they need a MAGGIE THATCHER. She would soon get the lazy bastards back to work or out on their ears.

    @ 3 Please do not forget as far as the Scottish border goes in Northumberland the line twists north east and runs straight through the middle of the North Sea oil fields. Best vote no if you're a Scot. But you can take comfort from the fact that the majority of folk south of the border want Scotland to get independence.
