...while being able to rejoice in our liberation and new found land of opportunity, progress and development. Such a nice contrast to their neighbour.
@3 Illegal usurpation of what? A bunch of uninhabited rocks? That's what they were when Britain took control of the islands back in 1765, decades before Argentina was even a country...
Unfortunately the Malvinista mindset doesn't recognise pesky little details like truth or historical accuracy. Their land claims are backdated to when Pangaea was around.
There always has to be a pig-ignorant argie. A genocide. A war criminal. A colonialist.
Very best wishes to all Falkland Islanders and their welcome guests. The people of Britain will never forget you. Nor will we allow any British government to forget. You represent some of the best of Britain. A guiding light. An example to barbarians. A reminder of what real Britons really are. So much better than johnnie-come-latelies like (US) Americans. Back in '82, I was proud that our forces came to your aid. Even more proud that they won and freed you and your descendants from aliens. Not that I ever doubted any single one of them. Nor should you doubt our present armed forces or us. Your land will always be yours!
There always has to be a pig-ignorant argie. A genocide. A war criminal. A colonialist.
There are enough with brits PIRACY!
WHo cares about 3000 people anyway!!
Yeah, and while we're at it,lets just throw away everything to do with human rights shall we? (if Argentina isn't done with burning them just yet) Idiot.
I don't know what's more pathetic, how Malvinistas will blindly believe anything that comes out of their own rectum or that they actually think they have a shot at getting sovereignity of the Falklands.
its because of people like you with attitudes like yours that the UN was formed in the first place, also why it was so important to rescue the Falklands from your clutches in 1982, and why it is so important that the Falklands remain associated with the UK (and it's defence ability) today. People like you are also the reason that your country is going to the dogs so fast. I actually feel sorry for the 'normal Argentines' that must be ashamed of the likes of you.
@9 - I suppose that the human rights of 3,000 people don't mean much to people like you.
People like you were throwing their fellow countrymen from helicopters in the 70's and 80's. How many died or disappeared during your 'dirty war'? 10,000? 20,000? Maybe as many as 30,000?
I suppose they don't matter either.
To all the people of the Falklands, I'll raise a glass to celebrate your liberation on the 12th June, and another to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of justice, freedom and the right to self-determination.
8 Conqueror You represent some of the best of Britain. A guiding light. An example to barbarians. A reminder of what real Britons really are
If you say so...
Cheers from Chile! Almost all of us were hoping for defeat and we were very impressed how you treated the Argentine soldiers after their surrender. (Going home on the QE2 was very memorable for them.)
The sad part of course, was the deceit and betrayal the Argentine people discovered of their own government afterwards. How could they now forget the truth?
Nice one Mali-baby!! Your posts never cease to provide some much needed light entertainment to this website, and this one is up to your usual high standards
Argenvina does not even care for its own so why should they care for the rights of peaceful prosperous families who are legal inhabitants of their islands, tell me is Argenvina even legal, surely an issue for the decolonization???
@16 Marcos,
Your link doesn't open. Please try again.
l'm sure that it was something deep & meaningful. lol.
@9 Malvinero1,
Who let you out?
Your dressings have to be changed before you can go out in public, malvi-baby.
Stupid boy!
Would this be the time to Hug an Argie? I can imagine that they are all feeling a bit unloved at the moment ( aaawww!! ) what with the little spat between them and Spain over YPF and their leader throwing her toys out of her pram because no one will come out and support their claim for the Falklands......... Their inflation that is about to run away ( got all the boxes ticked, don't they? ) and their ecomony that is about to implode.
Let us all take the time to reflect on this country of hopeless cases and have a moment of silence to show our support for them in their hour of need..................
@16 How come you never post links to pictures of the 40+ million argie homos? Would have thought you'd be proud of your new-found ascendancy as the homo capital of the world.
Some drunk people like to poke fun at argies by cross-dressing. I don't think this right and gives the proper impression of the supremacy of Brits over argies. I'm much more in favour of chopping the goolies off all male argies. It's not as though the queers need them!
Hope it all goes well Falklanders. Ignore the flag burners on the mainland, at the rate they're going, flag burning might be their only source of fuel.
Argentina's claims to the Falkland Islands are spurious and are simply part of the current Argentinian govenment's politics.
The government style of the CFK politburo depends on creating enemies. Now with the nationalization of YPF, the countries biggest oil producer, CFK & Co now have plenty of enemies like Spain, the EU, the USA and international investors everywhere. Argentina is set to become a pariah.
Already discussed earlier. Chile is not perfect and sometimes ignores the basic need of its regions. We don't steal pensions, life savings or needlessly destroy our economy. The last time we plundered foreign investment was 40 years ago when the Marxists were in power. We we severely punished and you have to pay for your debts eventually. Argentina could be twice as prosperous, but it would require a change in mentality.
Pinochet made some really terrible decisions, but saved us from Communism.
Meanwhile, with only 4 little jets and 1 little destroyer the English 'pirates” hold the entire nation of San Martin helpless. Even little Chile somehow scares your generals and admirals...
Ironic that Argentines like 'Chicureo' call the British liberators of the Falkland Islands pirates, when Argentina's sole claim of 'occupation' is the brief criminal expedition of the real life criminal and pirate Luis Vernet.
@36 Alexei,
l think that Chicureo was being ironic.
Showing the Argentines how the British have them bluffed.

How do the Argies commemerate the war? By rioting at the start of hostilities. They wonder why the Falklands don't want to be Argentine.
