    I'm not sure I like the idea of the British Tax Payer (i.e. me and lots et al) subsidising an organ of the corrupted and once antagonistic OAS but it does point to some interesting possibilities for the Falkland Islands. For one, how about FIG oil tax proceeds being used to pay for a small UN Military Observer team to be located in Patagonia?

    This article proves yet again that the UK plays it by the book, whereas Argentina thinks the rule of international law does not apply to it and even its own constitution does not apply to it.

    Hey Argentina, this is how true international diplomacy works.

    Both parties agree to go to the ICJ and wait for the outcome to settle their disputes. No hysterionics, no whinging on the world stage, to embarrassing their countries with stupid stunts.

    Well done Belize and Guatamala for behaving in a decent and adult way.

    Nobody would have an “Argentina Obsession” if Argentina wasn't constantly yapping like an irritating little pooch about a topic Argentina is obsessed with.

    Just in case anyone cares, the Argtards have explicitly stated that the ICJ/ICA has no jurisdiction over them. It's one of the many parts of the UN Framework, including the charter itself, which they do not agree with or uphold.

    Kind or weird that they're members of the UN then. Very weird that they're trying to get onto the security council.

    @7 GreekYoghurt,
    Think is on record here, actually admitting that Argentina will take the Falklands case to the ICJ when they have finally stacked the court with their mates.!
    So that Argentina could get a “fair hearing” or some such nonsense.
    The gall of some people........

    @8 So they come out and state the UN ICJ/ICA has no jurisdiction over them. Then they change their minds because they can 'bribe the jury' ... nice.

    @8 Funny you should mention Think, he seems to be AWOL at the moment. I would have thought he might be interested in this article and in the precedent this process seems to be setting.

    The Beagle Islands Conflict

    After refusing to abide by binding international award giving the islands to Chile, the Argentine Junta pursued the controversy to the brink of war in 1978 in order to produce a maritime boundry consistent with Argentine claims. Even the Pope proposed a 1980 solution that was accepted by Chile but rejected by the Argentine govenment.

    Would anyone in their right minds sign an agreement with the Argentine government. They have so much form for cheating, lying, and creating propaganda.

    Please like this page in order to force Argentina to return Misiones and Formosa Provinces to Paraguay, the country they were stolen from in 1870!

    Misiones and Formosa Provinces are provinces of Argentina that were seized and annaxed by Argentina from Paraguay this page is dedicated to address Argentine hyporcacy and ensuring their return to Paraguay.

    It's only right that Argentina first addresses its own hyocracy by re-examining its own history before talking about taking more land it has never had soverignty over. Not just the Falklands but South Georgia and the South Sandwhich Islands.
