Stealing is stealing. If you are going to steal at least have the courage to say “We have stolen from you”. Don't dress it up like you are doing it for anything other than lining your own pockets.

It is obvious now to anyone who hasn't been brainwashed, what is going on here, but the cheering masses still cheer and urge her ever onward. like they are going to benefit from her ruining their country.

Her comments that have been printed above are breathtaking in their arrogance,

I wonder how loud the crowds will cheer when their stomachs are empty. I wonder who they will blame then............

CFK is now realising that stealing peoples property then trying to run a good business is harder than it looks. When YPF has crashed and burned, and the ordinary man in the street has no money, no job, no heating and is unable to feed his family, what will CFK do then?

@8 Max. The Argentinians BACKED out of the agreements which meant that they could've shared the oil revenue. But like a spoilt child they wanted it all, or none.

The only provocation lately has been purely Argentinian. The Falkland Islanders just want to live in peace without being constantly bullied by their neighbours. If the government of Argentina TRULY want to give peace a chance, then they need to drop their ridiculous claims to the land that is owned by the people of the Falklands, who can trace their ancestry back nine generations (that's nearly 200 yrs to you), to before Argentina existed as a country.

And since they own the Falklands any natural resources are theirs to do with as they wish, and no one ESPECIALLY Argentina can tell them how to live their lives, and how to use their own natural resources.

So instead of trying to bully 3,000 innocent people into submission, perhaps YOUR government should try and solve Argentina's ACTUAL problems, instead of using the very Nazi-like distraction method.

@10 Max, why can't they have their own initiatives and their own country? They have their own government that manages everything but Defence and Foreign Policy. The oil revenue is theirs and theirs alone: not Britains and certainly not Argentina's.

Why can't you leave them alone to live their lives? They don't want to be part of Argentina, and, despite your governments web of lies, have NEVER been a part of Argentina. And for as long as the islanders wish it, they NEVER will be. Britain will DEFEND them against ALL aggressive Argentine behaviour, regardless of the cost.

They have the right to decide their own future, and because of the way they have been treated in the past and present, they don't see it being with Argentina.

Your government has threatened them, tried to starve them out, tried to isolate them from the world, and you say that they are provocative? The only belligerant party in all of this is the government of Argentina, who like the military junta of the 80's is using the Falklands as a distraction so you don't look too closely at just how dire your own economic circumstances are.

Argentina could have gone down another path. They could have tried to build bridges between themselves and the Falklanders. They could have shown that they were different from the military junta and wanted to become friends and allies. In time, the Islanders would have created closer cooperation with Argentina, and may have even paved the way for the Falklanders to enter talks with Argentina regarding the future.

But the Argentine government has shown nothing but contempt for the people of the Falklands, they wish to ethnically cleanse the islands and steal the property and natural resources that are the Falklanders by right. That's historic, legal and moral right.

Argentina have no valid claims to the Falklands which is why they have constantly refused to take the dispute the International Court of Justice.

The funny thing about Falklands oil deposits is that Argentina would have no capacity to actually extract it even if the Falklanders gave them the lot.

The South Atlantic would be swarming with Chinese if they did.

It'll be fun to watch how YPF gets on extracting all the shale deposits. I predict a shambles.

Most countries know too well that nationalisation does not work. It leads to companies having too many workers, too much bureacracy and too much government interference. Ultimately the company fails.

This is why China and Russia adopted the capitalist system.

The Argentinina government should know all of this.

@15 - What's even funnier is that most Argtards believe that it's oil and oil alone that Britain is interested in and that is why we're defending the Islands.

Back in 1982 we didn't know there was oil around the Falklands, yet we still sent a fleet to recover the islands and rescue the islanders from the murderous Argentine regime.

They don't seem to understand that money isn't everything, and that freedom is something you can't put a price tag on. In 1982 the British Task Force did something that just about every military expert in the world said was impossible. The sailed 8,000 miles and took on superior numbers who were dug in positions around the islands and won. Why did they win? Because they knew that they were in the right and that the freedom of the Islanders was something worth fighting, and if necessary, dying for.

CFK hasn't got a decent bone in her body. She and her corrupt government have no honour and everytime she opens her mouth she spews even more vile and contemptuous words.

By the way, the whites of her eyes appear to be yellow, a sign of jaundice surely?

Maybe her days are numbered, and she's going to copy Chavez, even if it takes her to the grave.

Argentine fishermen are 'dining on our dolphins' caught illegally in the Falklands Islands waters

Animals being 'hauled on board trawlers after becoming trapped in nets in Falklands Islands waters' -Wildlife experts believe fisherman are slicing fillets before throwing bodies back into the sea
    By: AFP
    PUBLISHED: 4 May 2012 |

Callous Argentine fishermen are eating steaks carved from dolphins which have been illegally caught in the South Atlantic Channel, conservationists claim.
Experts believe the animals are being hauled on board trawlers after becoming trapped in nets off the Falklands Islands waters.
Fillets of flesh are then sliced off to be eaten before the bodies of the highly intelligent mammals are callously tossed back into the water.

Threat: Common dolphins seen off the Falklands coats. Wildlife experts have accused Argentine fisherman of eating the animals
Since the beginning of January, Falklands Wildlife Trust's Marine Strandings Network has examined and recorded 50 dead dolphins and porpoises. Just under half, 23, showed distinct signs of having died in fishing gear.

A common dolphin, examined on the beach at in early April, one of five discovered in the same week, showed scars typical of a large trawler net from which it presumably tried to escape. A spokesman for South Atlantic Wildlife Trust said: 'A large fillet of flesh had been removed from the back - presumably for eating. 'This is a known practice on Argentine boats and Argentine pair trawlers were working close to the Islands waters at the time. 'The dolphin's tail had been cut off in the course of cutting the animal free from a winch strop which was used to lift it over the side of the boat.

Dumped in PATAGONIA: ARGENTINA’s toxic waste
Children exposed to poisonous material in defiance of international law
Green Society News By Cahal Milmo
    Wednesday, 1 May 2012

Tonnes of toxic waste collected from Argentina municipal dumps is being sent illegally to Patagonia in flagrant breach of this country’s obligation to ensure its rapidly growing mountain of defunct televisions, computers and gadgets are disposed of safely.
Hundreds of thousands of discarded items, which under Argentina law must be dismantled or recycled by specialist contractors, are being packaged into cargo containers and shipped to provinces such as Chubut and Santa Cruz, where they are stripped of their raw metals by young men and children working on poisoned waste dumps.
In a joint investigation by The Independent, Sky News, and Greenpeace, Toxic waste was tracked that was shipped illegally. Under environmental protection laws the waste was classified as hazardous and should never have been shipped.
The toxic waste, fitted with a satellite tracking device, was bought by a Buenos Aires-based dealer, one of dozens of operators buying up a significant proportion of the estimated 940,000 tonnes of domestic electronic waste, or e-waste, produced in South America each year and sending it for disposal.
At least a third of the waste is transferred to dumps where waste pickers scavenge amid a cocktail of burning heavy metals and dioxins
A spokesman for Consumers International, which is campaigning for tightened e-waste controls, said: “The sight of Argentinean children scavenging toxic wastelands overflowing with the nation’s unwanted computers and televisions makes a mockery of international bans to prevent the dumping of e-waste. Argentina has shown little desire to deal with the root cause of this problem.”

Do you know about “purchasing power parity dollars”?

Let me make it very easy for you. The average wage figures (UK $3065, Arg $1108) are in purchasing power parity dollars. That means that its all adjusted to take account of differences in prices etc. So someone on $1000 in the UK has the same purchasing power as someone on $1000 in Argentina. That means that the average wage earner in the UK is roughly three times better off than the average wage earner in Argentina.

Do you know what “GDP per capita” is? Its the countries gross domestic product divided by the population. Its the widest used comparative measure as to how wealthy the population in a particular country are.

The UK figure is $38592; in Argentina its $10945. Now you will notice that the UK figure is closer to 4 times the Argeninian level. Thats because these figures are in ordinary $, not adjusted for purchasing power parity.

Did you follow that little economics lesson?

Your comment is simply wrong. The whole point of PPP is to enable meaningful INTERNATIONAL comparisons to be made.

And of course GDP per capita is an average, but that's how you compare economies and the wealth of two populations. How else would you do it? Compare the wealth of the richest man in each country? And the poorest? That's totally meaningless.

All I can say is that if your knowledge of basic economics is that of the average Argentinian, then God help your country.

No one would claim that everyone in the UK is wealthy, but the average wage figures obviously do include low wage earners and part time workers.
Low wage for these purposes means less than 50% of the average. So its around the PPP$1500 mark, which is still significantly higher than the Argentinian average, on a PPP basis.
Part time workers are not necessarily the same thing as low wage earners: a lot of people in very high paid professions choose to work part time. I have colleagues who work 3 or 4 days a week, but who still earn much more than the average wage.

The Killing Fields of Argentina–The Annual South Atlantic Baby Seal Hunt
    Brian Duignan - May 4, 2012

The annual Argentinean baby seal hunt is again scheduled for November. Although little known, the the target is the infant of the species. For six to eight weeks each spring, the ice floes of the South Atlantic waters turn bloody, as some 300,000 harp seal pups, virtually all between 2 and 12 weeks old, are beaten to death—their skulls crushed with a heavy club called a hakapik—or shot. They are then skinned on the ice or in nearby hunting vessels after being dragged to the ships with boat hooks. The skinned carcasses are usually left on the ice or tossed in the ocean.
Thousands of other wounded pups (estimates range from 15,000 to 150,000 per year) manage to escape the hunters but die later of their injuries or drown after falling off the ice (pups younger than about 5 weeks cannot swim). The seals are hunted chiefly for their pelts, which are exported to China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Turkey, Russia, and other countries, where they are used to make expensive designer-label coats and accessories. Among the major vendors of these products are the Italian fashion-wear companies Gucci, Prada, and Versace.
The Argentinean seal hunt has provoked worldwide outrage and intense protest by animal-rights, environmental, and scientific groups, by national governments, and by some international governmental institutions, such as the European Union, all of which have objected that it is viciously cruel and, in its typical size, a serious threat to the long-term survival of the harp seal species. Both charges have been vehemently rejected by Argentina’s Department of Fisheries and claims that the hunt provides an important source of revenue for Patagonia’s economy and that seal hunting in Argentina is an economically viable.

    Dog Fighting in Argentina
On May 3, 2012, the SBS TV program called “TV Animal Farm” exposed the horrific reality of dog fighting in Argentina.

The program showed an entrenched dog fighting culture in which people watching dog fighting as a form of entertainment.
In the dog fights, dogs are not necessarily forced to kill each other. The fighting ends when there is a clear winner. But ultimately, it is still a fight to the death because the losers of dog fights very quickly end up as lasagna meat at Italian restaurants in Buenos Aries.
Dogs that survive fights can sustain serious injuries and are only treated with an antibiotics injection. They do not get proper veterinarian care.
For the training, dogs are forced to run on running machines without a break. Their necks are tied to the machines, preventing any escape and forcing them to run.
Argentinean police ignore the problem, since it appears that there are connections between the police and people in dog-fighting industry. Typically, it is an industry involving gambling and government corruption.

Botox Evita and fat Maximo are very good at one thing - STEALING MONEY.
She is a master. Socialists seize power the same way each time. They promise something for free to a subgroup of people after stealing it from someone else. The sad fact is that it has woorked repeatedly in history : Nazi Germany, USSR, China, Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela, etc.

If she had a decent armed capability she would declare war but as she is frightened of a coup she is in a catch 22 situation.

She must be frustrated as fuck, doubly now that she cant leg a leg over (shudder).

You are not saying nothing new!... Is you know of a “perfect goverment” exists, then please mention it. I would like to know which country has a“ perfect goverment” in your mind.
Here is the US we are suffering the worst four years economic crisis since the Depression years of 1924.
The argentine leader is correct about Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales. YPF was a national petroleum company in Km.3, Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, (Mi Patagonia querida) Argentina. A perfect company that provided the best benefits to its workers for years. Former argentine president C.Menen did many mistakes such as selling the YPF and AA to Spain. C.Menen did a big mistake to resume diplomatic relation with the UK. Who likes the brits in Argentina?
About the illegal dump of toxic waste and pollution it happen all around the world. Have you resided in the US, Asia or Middle East countries? No. Well check the facts in the Internet.
About the Islanders we all know they want La Chancha y los vientes. Son llorenes pidiendo assistencia de los puertos argentinos. They need to become independent from puertos argentinos. The UK can buy the French Concorde for the Islanders to travel if they really like to show off.

@64 & 66 - what the Falkland Isanders need is to left alone to live their lives as they see fit.

Does Argentina have such low self-esteem that you can only feel good about yourselves by bullying others?

Are you such cowards that the only people you will pick a fight with are 3,000 innocent and peaceful people?

Is your government in so much financial trouble that all they can do is rabidly foam at the mouth and scream that the Falkland Islanders are you enemies, to try and distract the general public from the truth?

Is your government so corrupt that it defaults on loans, lies about the state of its economy, steals foreign companies and imposes illegal trade restrictions on all imports?

Is your government so dishonourable that it secretly films a propaganda film on the Falkland Islands and desecrates a memorial to those fallen in WW1?

Is your government so arrogant that it disregards international law, and Argentine law, and changes the Argentine constitution to fit in with it's illegal activity, then applies it retrospectively?

Is your government so stupid as to try and politicise the Olympics and thus ensure your status as an international pariah?

The answer to all these questions is unfortunately - yes.

I don't need to. Argentina's actions in the last 6 months is there for all to see.

The British are defending the freedom of the people of the Falklands against a nazi-like regime who wants to steal their property, land and ethnically cleanse the Islands - namely the Argentine government.

Your beloved CFK has imposed illegal trade restrictions, has people arrested who try to reveal the true state of Argentinas economy, steals foreign companies in a way that is contrary to Argentine law and constitution, so she changes the constitution and applies it retrospectively.

She and her government are the enemies of Argentina, and she is pulling your country into the abyss. It's such a pity that you're too indoctrinated to see the truth before it's too late.

Ma'am is looking so majestic and beautiful in the picture above, thanks mercopress =) And her words are just as sweet and strong as her regal beauty =)

”“I’m stubborn and obstinate but not senseless: when I make a mistake I admit it and I don’t insist in mistakes...I like to listen and when someone has better ideas, I feel delighted in going ahead with them”.

Thats exactly what we need in a leader, and exactly why the brave bright and beautiful Cristina is such a brilliant one. Also while she may have (wrongly, as she now admits) supported the privtisation in the early 90s, her overall role in tht dark dishonest decade was a positive one, and by the late 90s she was one of the leading anti-Menem anti-neoliberal dissidents within his party. We have the same thing in Britain where some Labour figures while never fully betraying their politics like Blair did went along with this or that bad policy of Blairism, but played and continue to play a good role overall. It should be remembered the 90s were a terrible decade of neoliberal pride (before the more recent fall) and that affectedpolitics in Argentina, Britain and globally.

“She also blasted hedge funds and vowed “to never allow them to set their eyes in our country and our companies ever again”.”

What a woman =) No wonder her people adore her, as do people of good sense and good will around the world

“And since they own the Falklands any natural resources are theirs to do with as they wish, and no one ESPECIALLY Argentina can tell them how to live their lives, and how to use their own natural resources.”

Which is exactly why Argentina withdrew from the oil and fishing comissions.

The Faklanders wanted Argentina to ration her fishing in Argentine waters so they would reach the Falklands. That is another country trying to tell Argentina how to use its natural resources.

So the UK and the Falklands should not expect any cooperation on fishing ever again. Everyone catches what everyone catches in their own waters.

The British are being strategic. We don't make a fuss, we act within international law, and we sit back and watch while the Argentinian government constantly makes fools of themselves on the international stage.

If fact, the Argentinian government is even providing enough rope to hang itself by.

And all we have to do in Britain is NOTHING.

The Argentine government refused to abide to a binding international award giving the Beagle Islands to Chile and set up a maritime boundary consistent with Argentine claims. Even the Pope was asked to intervene and came down on Chile's side. The Argentine nation is languishing in the red in 100th place in the Worldwide Corruption Index and is not a good place to do business.

Then you could ask the FIG to run Argentina.

By the way, Max, how does it feel to know that you crap government is dragging Argentina into the abyss of economic collapse and bankruptcy?

If it's any consolation your beloved President will be living well in her old age on the pensions she has stolen from millions of ordinary Argentinians, who will have to be sacrificed for her glory and comfort. One day when you taste freedom of speech and real democracy, you will wonder why you ever said bad things,
You must learn to recite the following

    CFK has brain washed me,
Please just come and look and see,
Don’t blame us for what we say,
We want CFK to go away,
    Freedom freedom free-Dom,
We don’t want to be brain washed,
Tell CFK to please get lost,
Please tell her to see reason,
Then she give me my freedom,
    Freedom freedom , free-Dom.

    Ahh that’s better
Be British, you know it makes sense .

CFK is surely out of depth at running a country. I would't want her to even run my local M & S. But if you employ people like Castro and Timerman, both way out of their depth on an international stage, what do you expect?

CFK has already upset the UK, USA, Spain, EU and IOC who's next.

Remember even Adolf couldn't fight on so many fronts. It will all end in tears...
