What's wrong with green glass? - or green filters on the lights? This jelly business has left me baffled unless they plan to hold a wrestling competition too.
I guess you need to see it in real life to appreciate what they've done.
Actually it looks pretty good when lit up at night. It was only in place during the weekend as part of an Arts Festival.
The glass cover does perform a more serious role in the preservation of the ship as the hull needs to be kept at a set temperature and humidity.
The SS Great Britain is an important part of Bristol's heritage and is fantastic part of the Cumberland Basin in which it is located.
