The Spanish King is coming to claim lost ground!!! RG's beware he wants your country back. But i suppose you have the right to self determination dont you, but according to the RG's the Falkland Islanders dont. Unfortunately international law and the UN says all people have the right, especially all those downtrodden colonial countries on the list to be de-colonised.

What is this? CFK not meeting with the King? Does she think he might ask for his colony back? After all, according to the papal bull, argieland belongs to Spain. Spain and argieland both being Catholic wank.........sorry, countries, how could they ignore the Pope? All well and good under Franco but Spain now has “royalty” again. Back to the Viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata! Would Spain challenge Britain to the war they ran away from last time?

What is it with the hunting of elephants!! The elephants have to be killed to control their numbers and it is all legal in this country besides it brings in income to a poor nation. I can`t see what the fuss is about!

Besides Prince William and Prince Henry were seen Hunting deer in Spain recently..and again no big deal!!

@aussie, yes it is ok, but you know we must tiptoe around what the masses think.

    Sussie,
The Chilotas are not indigenous, in fact they are overwhelmingly of Spanish decent. Chiloe was settled by the Spanish and, as an island, the islanders were not attacked by the Mapuche. On the mainland the Mapuche defeated the Spanish on several occasions and took their woman. As a result the southern Chileans are mixed, Spanish with Mapuche and some German colonies. Chiloe was the last Spanish stronghold in Chile and as a consequence the Chilotes are the most Spanish of all Chileans.

The Chilotes, as you may have noticed are very small. The Spanish chroniclers (those are the Spanish who documented the early years of the Spanish conquest) found the native people of, for example, my part of Chile to be tall, strong, handsome and healthy. If you don’t believe me, look up the chronicles, they are really fascinating. Bartolome de las Casas is a little extreme but an eye opener.

Sussie, you are such a sweety, quite endearing in an uneducated sort of way. I have never seen a “concha cuadrada”, I obviously don't get out enough.
