BAEs shares when they sold were much lower than when they bought it (50% in 1995, 35%ish in 1998 and around 20% when they sold) because BAE were developing a competitor (Eurofighter).

Besides, there was talk of bribery/corruption about the Gripen winning a few of it's contracts and so they cut themselves out of the deal.

It was never considered a 'UK' company, always a Swedish company, even at 50%

    .Some say
BAE, should sod of to America, and sell their British interests to the British,
As they seem to have a strange stranglehold over everything military, and not only good things,
To many British companies have been sold of or bought out, and we are losing valuable experience ,

    dam free government
    just passing info on.ll.
