Sweden’s Saab invests in Brazil’s aerospace defence industry

Sweden's premier defense and security company, Saab, is strengthening its relationship with a Brazilian integrator of aero-structures. Saab, manufacturer of the Gripen jet fighter that has partnered in the past with the company Akaer, said it is now financially investing in the company. Read full article

    Good old Saab aerospace a great uk company sold it last year by bae.

    BAEs shares when they sold were much lower than when they bought it (50% in 1995, 35%ish in 1998 and around 20% when they sold) because BAE were developing a competitor (Eurofighter).

    Besides, there was talk of bribery/corruption about the Gripen winning a few of it's contracts and so they cut themselves out of the deal.

    It was never considered a 'UK' company, always a Swedish company, even at 50%

    BAE, should sod of to America, and sell their British interests to the British,
    As they seem to have a strange stranglehold over everything military, and not only good things,
    To many British companies have been sold of or bought out, and we are losing valuable experience ,
