Good to see a bit of sarcasm creeping into Browne's statements. He's obviously getting bored of it too.

I don't know why he needs to make a full statement if he only intends to use two words to the hag.

If someone is determined to go to the C24 and look a tit, then who is going to stop them... I'm not. I'll just laugh.

@8 Is he talking about 'Argentine Law' like their constitution that KFC routinely ignores, for example in expropriating YPF? Maybe he means the UN charter which Argentina ignores, especially SC rulings and ICJ/ICA rulings about their poisoning of shared rivers.

Clearly if Argentinians cannot follow the law, then it's of great importance that the UK which apparently hasn't broken any laws, follows the laws.

    Curious.

    the reply will be simple,
CFK on the other hand, will take it the wrong way.

the falklands are to have a referendum in 2013,
and the result will be as follows
1, they wish to remain british,
2, CFK will totaly ignore the result .

Which Law is the UK Government acting above ?

    ----

The UN General Assembly passed “ Resolution 2066 ”” which called Britain to take no action that would dismember the territory Mauritius and violate its territorial integrity. However the International efforts proved unsuccessful and by 1968 Mauritius had accepted Britain's offer of independence and the Chagos Islands became British Territory..in addition the Mauritius Government agreed to accept the soon to be displaced Chagossians for a small payment of £ 650.000.

The British Government swiftly proceeded to create a new colony aptly named the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) in November 1965..

The position of Commissioner of BIOT was created and filled by a Whitehall Civil Servant unfamiliar with the new territory and accountable to the Foreign Office. The Commisioner was granted the Legistative Powers to make laws for the “” Peace ,Order and Good Government of the Territory “”

This concept is historically significant in commowealth law and essentially present him with a free hand as the legislature of the territory.

    @16 Resolution 2066 is not a law. And it's non-binding. Anything else?

@16 And Argentina doesn't act above the law? Like poisoning waterways and blaming someone else for doing it?

Trying to evict native peoples from land Argentina wants to use, and told by the United Nations to stop?

Like Argentina never pays back debts?

Like refusing to abide by UN resolution 502?
(Though that backfired because you could have withdrawn with dignity rather than having your arses kicked out by HM forces).

Was chucking Argentine citizens out of aircraft into the sea 'legal'?

Is blockading the Falkland Islanders legal?

Max, I would rather take take legal advice from a Turkey Vulture than from a muppet like you as you seem to know JS.

What can they say? It is our land, it is our sea, it is our airspace! Every time I come hear and read this i think who do you think you are? Your think you are more macho? You think you are stronger than Argentina?

'You think you are stronger than Argentina?'

That was confirmed in 1982, Filippo @ 19, if that;s how you want tojudge it.
Perhaps it needs to be more...drastically, shall we say?... demonstrated next time.

No Filippo. We are not more macho than Argentina. In the UK “Macho” is synymous with the “Latin” personality. To us it means a boastful swaggering person who wants to be admired, with nothing to back it up. In fact it is a bit of an insult to “Anglos”
Are we stronger than Argentina -who knows. All I can say is that we are ruthlesssly efficient when the need comes - no posturing, we go in fangs out and will not let go until we win - as we proved in 1982.
