Jun 24th, 2012 - 05:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Don't worry, both will still operate seperate . This is a win for TAM, since LAN is the best to business with. It already paid out for TAM in 2011, Chosen Best Airline of Latin America. Also a win for LAN to have more accesss through TAM to the largest market and fastest growing market of latin america. Chile alone is to small..as I typed before its not even close to the economy of the state of sao paulo..the richest state in latin america.
This deal is similar like Air France and KLM, though in my opinion, the LAN and TAM are much better.
I'm looking forward to read the idiotic comments from those dumb f##k mapucho indians with a low self esteem (condomrito and manclown).
Nice to know, what you think of others,
Jun 24th, 2012 - 06:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0not as well off or as intelligent as you then, fido..
.
Merely stupids.. ignorants believe the company consolidations would cause of costing down, just made of international money transfers and ultimately tax deductions.

Jun 24th, 2012 - 10:37 pm - Link - Report abuse 0First of all it doesn't matter that Chile is small (both in population and GDP)
In fact this makes business here strive even more to compete and be successful. There are many such examples. LAN for one has a very successful business model and didn't take over TAM to save it self. The public can expect more of the same, a competitive, modern, safe airline.
As for your derogative comments of the Mapuche...... Let me tell you Mr.
The Mapuche are a national treasure. Not only were they the FIRST Chileans for over 14 thousand years, but are an example to us all as they successfully resisted the enemy for over 300 years. First the Inca, defeated and sent scurrying back to were they came from, then the Spaniards who quickly learned to stay on the northern side of the Bio Bio river, then the new Republic who only managed to defeat them with ultra modern Prussian trained infantry. I can tell you that this DNA runs through most Chileans blood and I for one am VERY PROUD of it. A special people from a special place. So in conclusion I believe the dumb fuck is you!
Think its the 100th time I read this headline.
Jun 25th, 2012 - 12:31 am - Link - Report abuse 0I'm a Chilean without any traces of mapuche blood, just a mixture of Spaniard, Swuiss, Crotian and Chilote (via Spaniard) blood I respect the brave native that centuries ago fought against their enemies up to they were defeated by the Chilean Gvt.. But I´m not proud of about their present attitude of disrespect to the Chilean State and its legal system where they live as any other citizien no matter where his ascendening relatives came from.....They have mixed with the whole population so there are very few pure natives living right now, the most of them are like any other Chilean and living outside the Araucania, mainly at the Chilean capital city. Their claims have been leaded by ultra leftist leaders prepared outside our borders (even at Colombian narco guerrillas territory)....
Jun 25th, 2012 - 02:16 am - Link - Report abuse 0About the merge LAN - TAM, well its a big deal that means the new company will have the best management in the airline business like LAN have had from its privatisation years ago becoming a leading world company competing with the most importants at wold´s level.....isn´t just a tax issue like the ignorants have claimed. It's an example that the local market size isn´t relevant at all when the management is correct.....others in the business are getting broken as Pluna, Aereolineas Argentinas, Iberia, etc.
So LAN didn't want to take over Aerolinas Argentinas then?
