    Viva la Revolución!

Come on you downtrodden workers, fight against this evil and corrupt government!

Miss CFK has a cheek trying to link the union chief with the junta, but he put her right back in her place with a terse, just what did she do to overthrow the junta, hide under her bed?

Even now CFK and her cronies can't help lying, and apparently trying to intimidate the workers into remaining quiet whilst she robs them blind and destroys the country.

She's getting more desperate by the day. I wonder if she'll deploy the army, and if she does, I wonder if they'll obey her or join the demonstrators on the streets....

Arab spring could become Latin spring. :0)

    1. Find troops
    2. March troops to the Casa Rosada
    3. Knock on door and demand entry
    4. Find current President
    5. Tell current president “you're being impeached”
    6. Take power
    7. Kill people who disagree
    8. Wait for knock at door demanding entry

“He urged the President to “leave arrogance behind” and work “humbly” in order to accept a dialogue with the workers’ movement so they can engage in an “exchange of opinions” and finding solutions that are not imposed but agreed upon.”

Now that her own people can see how much CFK lies and distorts the truth, how can anyone believe her nonsense on any world stage, too many Argentine's are blinded by love of CFK, slowly, even these will be seeing clearly what a waste of time and money she is, get rid of her before, (if its not too late) she is the cause of wasted lives. Many on this forum have warned that the Falklands/Malvinas argument was being aired again as a distraction to internal trouble, now look and see! When will they ever learn?

OK...I know that is historically how it has worked and get the joke. I was actually seriously wondering what the constitutional process was...

The strength of the Argentine government reaction to the impeachment in Paraguay strikes me as interesting in the context of both labour and popular protests in Argentina, widespread allegations of fraud by senior members of the government, alongside a worsening economic outlook and a President running a risk of diplomatic humiliation (G20, WTO etc etc).

@6 According to the public record, during the period of “authoritarian rule”, CFK and hubby ducked out of politics and “worked” as lawyers. Who for? By contrast, Moyano stayed visible even though the CGT and union activity was banned. Moyano was apparently arrested numerous times during demonstrations against the regime's economic policies. Now who should be more concerned? Moyano? Or CFK?

The following are the articles of our Constitution that refer to impeachment:
    CHAPTER I
    The House of Deputies

Section 53.- Only the House of Deputies has the power to impeach before the Senate the President, the Vice-President, the Chief of the Ministerial Cabinet, the Ministers, and the Justices of the Supreme Court, in such cases of responsibility as are brought against them for misconduct or crimes committed in the fulfillment of their duties; or for ordinary crimes, after having known about them and after the decision to bring an action had been voted by a majority of two-thirds of its members present.

    CHAPTER II
    The Senate

Section 59.- The Senate shall have the sole power to judge in public trial those impeached by the House of Deputies, and its members must be on oath when sitting for this purpose. When the President of the Nation is impeached, the Senate shall be presided by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. No person shall be declared guilty without the concurrence of two-thirds of the members present.

Section 60.- The judgment shall not extend further than to remove the accused person from office, and to disqualify him to hold any office of honor, trust, or profit in the Nation. But the party declared guilty shall, nevertheless, be subject to accusation, trial, and punishment according to law before the ordinary courts.

    Very similar to Paraguay's Constitution.

Section 17. - Property may not be violated, and no inhabitant of the Nation can be deprived of it except by virtue of a sentence based on law. Expropriation for reasons of public interest must be authorized by law and previously compensated. Only Congress levies the taxes mentioned in Section 4. No personal service can be requested except by virtue of a law or sentence based on law. Every author or inventor is the exclusive owner of his work, invention, or discovery for the term granted by law. The confiscation of property is hereby abolished forever from the Argentine Criminal Code. No armed body may make requisitions nor demand assistance of any kind.

@26 Is it not the case that the argie president “rules by decree”? She may get the House of Deputies and the Senate to “rubber-stamp” what she wants, but when have they ever said “No”? Is this “democracy”? Is it “totalitarianism”? Or is it a “dressed-up” dictatorship? Go through CFK's photographs. Look at the differences in her expression (a) in her own country where she is in control, (b) in another country where she has no power but wants something, and (c) somewhere where she thought she could get what she wanted, but didn't! Very revealing!!

Ruling by degree is a little harsh as it has certian connotations. Having said that, if you control the House of Deputies and the Senate then the majority of legislation will probably be passed. I am, of course, speaking from a neutral view point here of what should happen in principal. Ultimately we all know the types of pressures which are placed on MPs, Senators by the Whip (or its equivalent) and it is the extent of this pressure which will obviously decide how easy it is to rubber stamp things.

In other news, there are blackouts in the north of BA capital...Villa Ortúzar, Belgrano, Palermo, Villa Crespo, Núñez, Colegiales y Saavedra, also in the province...Vicente López, Olivos, Caseros y San Martín...

His Bolshevik instincts pitted against his love for KFC.
Even his boy friend Gorgeous George would back the unions on this one.

One day BK will be found hanging from a tree with 13 Arg pesos in his pocket.

But more importantly, this is the beginning of the end for KFC.
Moyano & Son control half a dozen unions, whose members form a large part of the popular vote.

The looming struggle is bad news for KFC and, paradoxically, bad news for Argentina.

The public transporation strikes in the US are as wild... No positive talks are made for a quick resolution. If a strike is order it, busses, teachers, police officers, supermarkets employees, nurses, etc. abandon their responsabilities at the time and location the unions tell them to do so to show “power”.
Here in the US the us citizens are suffering despair same like in Argentina. The economy is getting worst.
We are all anxiously waiting for the US congress to approve Obama's 2013 budget plan. If the budget is not approved before July 31, 2012

@29 Explain to me where I'm wrong. I'm willing to learn. Does the argie president rule by decree? Yes or no? This is not the same as the British constitutional monarchy where “the government” or an “MP” proposes a bill. After a debate, the bill may be passed to House Committees. Then it goes to the House of Lords where it is reviewed and may be amended. And it may go round and round the “Commons”, committees, the “Lords” until it reaches an acceptable state. Only then is it passed to the sovereign for formal signature.

Meanwhile, in argieland, it seems that the president passes down a decree for the legislature to “rubber stamp”. Just answer me this. When was the last time the argie legislature told the president “No!”

“Ruling by decree” may have certain connotations. How accurate are those “connotations” in terms of present day argieland?

I reckon present day argieland is a barely disguised dictatorship. There is still protest. Does CFK pay any attention to protest? Look at the so-called ministers and ambassadors. How long would they last in the UK? People would have been demanding the dismissal of Tinpotman years ago. He's an incompetent tosspot. The same goes for Putrid Jelly and Arguello. Look at the nepotism. How many of CFK's pals and family have an acknowledged input to policy?

It's a “mafia”-like family. A typical latino construct. I'll bet they all call CFK “Donna”. Just criminals with delusions of grandeur. But still stealing, because it's their “right”!

    @35

Hey chap. I'm not saying that you're wrong with regards to decree and, just so we're straight, I'm also not trolling! Yes, if the President decrees something them it is more than likely to be passed. I think that my point can be summarised as such. Just as we can say that the Argentinean President rules by decree, people can also say that the Prime Minister rules at the behest/pleasure of the Monarch. She calls Parliament and she dissolves it. However, both you and I know that this is purely just a matter of course, a constitutional tool for beginning and ending Parliament. What I didn't want to say is that, being the De Facto head of the country, what ever the Argentinean president says goes. This would be a misrepresentation of the Constitution. In practice (on the floor as it were) I can't really comment and haven't looked into the number of laws passed vs. those which haven't been passed. Therefore, my post was based on what the constitutional position is rather than what is actually happening on the floor. When talking about these kinds of things it is very easy for other people reading them to get the wrong end of the stick. This is why, when explaining matters of various constitutions, I always think it is important to look at what the constitution says and its purposive intent first before looking at what actually happens from day to day as it could misrepresent the given constitution.

As for how things are actually passed in Argentina, I'll have the defer to people with a better understanding of the Status Quo in Argentina.

P.S. Simon68... Thanks for the link, read the translated Constitution on the tube on the way home but noticed a spelling error (Chapter I section 15, 2nd line, should be “this” rather than “his”. Shall I contact the chaps at Georgetown University...?!

1-“What do you think about the above and how inflation is hitting the poorest in society?”

Moyano in his speech gave as example the amount that one worker from his union pays in tax. He named the employee and seems the company hiring him made public his earnings.

These poor as you say earn 12K pesos at month (USD 2666,66 pocket salary) x 12 USD 32K at year.
A basic salary from Moyano union is 8k at month +benefits+premiums.

Now you tell me how is recession and unemployment is hitting the poorest in Britain?
Don’t worry I will answer for you.

As you say that you have knowledge of economy you should know that a employee earning USD2.666 at month in a devaluated Argentina is infinite much better that a poor or jobless person in expensive UK.

2- To be a lawyer you are very inaccurate. I asked you about why UK has not a written constitution (rhetoric) and the I said because the crown is happy with the Status Quo.
The “slavery” interpretation is just only yours.

So another simple question, how a normal Brit. exactly knows what are his rights?
Has to hire a layer like you?

    @ LEPRecon

Where are you from? You are not British at least not were born in Britain and you sound a little bit “La Nacion Argie” Am I wrong?

    @ Conqueror

I know that is too much for you, but in modern democracy the head of state has power of veto and can make decrees what also is explicit in the constitution like in US, etc. Everything is written, quite clear.

“Just answer me this. When was the last time the argie legislature told the president “No!””
Bill 1025/2009 (year 2009) when the ME wanted to apply new a regime in export taxing over commodities and cause the departure of the Economy Minister Martin Lousteau.

Now you tell me when was the last time that the head of state in Britain was a British citizen that not belongs to the Royal family?

Spouting bollocks as usual. By the way this sentence makes no sense in English:

“Where are you from? You are not British at least not were born in Britain and you sound a little bit “La Nacion Argie” Am I wrong?”

I'll answer the question first. Yes you are wrong, but you must be used to that by now.

I was born in Gods country, Lancashire (North West England), lived in Lancashire and Cheshire until I joined the Army, and have since lived in Glasgow (Scotland), Portsmouth (South England), Brecon (Wales), Lisburn (Northern Ireland), Peterborough (East England), Paderborn and Honhe (Germany), Colchester (East Anglia, England), Medicine Hat (Alberta, Canada) and Birmingham (West Midlands, England). All as part of my Duty to Queen and Country.

As for our Head of State, she has an approval rating of 90%, your plastic president could only dream of approval ratings like that. So why should we become a republic? Especially as Argentina shows us all the worse face of Republicism in the world, where self serving politicians steal from the people, rape the country of anything useful, and the leg it with the proceeds.

Have you chosen sides my German Argie? So you are supporting a government that is robbing the people, and raping your country.

This bit makes no sense: “As you say that you have knowledge of economy you should know that a employee earning USD2.666 at month in a devaluated Argentina is infinite much better that a poor or jobless person in expensive UK.”

Well one would hope that someone with a job would earn more than an unemployed person, so perhaps you should be comparing like for like. However, you are still talking bollocks as 'poor' and 'unemployed' people in the UK get their basic money, get assistance to pay their rent, get child benefits, get assistance to buy clothing, pay fuel bills etc..., so the basic money they get is for food and leisure.

So, I doubt even your employed people are as well off as our unemployed and poor.

I repeat, there are no “perfect goverments”
The AZ.Central.Com just announced Barclays one of the largest banks in the UK has to pay 453 millons settlement for rate manipulation of student loans and houses loans.
The US Commodity Future Trading Commision stated that is the largest penalty in the CTC history.
On last 8/31/2011 the London riots demostrated the UK citizens don't like the present economy.
Here in the US physicians under contract with the US medicare health insurances are not paid on time. A physician contacted Senator John McCain posting an open letter in the Arizona Republic that cost him $5,000 but Senator McCain did not respond.
The present Obamacare health plans are not clear for the us citizens to understand what health care benefits will receive. This health program suppose to start on 2014, but if Mitt Rommey wins, he will repeal it. Most of Obama's presidential orders can be repeal by the next president.
Obama decision to approve the Dream Act from undocumented immigrant's children born in the US is controversial and canl be repeal by Mit Rommey
The US is unable to control the illegal immigrants from Mexico and drug trafficking cross the border. There is corruption such as the Fast and Furious arms deal which force Arizona Federal Attorney Dennis Burke to resign. About 2 years ago, a well known rancher from Douglas, Arizona got shot, not by an illegal immigrant, but by a drug dealer just to scare the ranchers. The Arizona/Mexico border is not safe to anyone.
About me, yes, I am planning to move to Buenos Aires because of the US economy is getting worse and most of all US citizens looks very depressed.
Buenos Aires is a beautiful city and argentinians are the best, they like to laugh, eat well and have fun.

Clarin, La Nacion, InfoBae, BA Herald, etc.

The same that says that UK and FI has refused ARG’s offer to talk about fishery and flights?

I will call Scioli and then I will have an answer.

Grade F. Very poor show, must do better. No substance, no wit, no brain.

Tell me Dany when the workers revolt, will you be laying your life on the line to protect the Dear Leader CFK?

Could be messy, you may get strung up right next to her. Of course since you are very brave, willing to risk the lives of your fellow Argentinians whilst you hide under the bed, you won't have any problems, will you?

SussieUS you have a few points that are right, as in, 'other countries have riots' the UK being no exception. When Governments get it wrong and the people revolt, its because they are not listening. The mob and thug element do often turn hither to peaceful protest into violent riots, thats just human nature and we will always find that element n all nations. However, the level and regularity of these riots in Argentina spell out one thing clearly, the present leadership have got it wrong, thats a fact and its time they took a hint and went away in short jerky movments.

Moyano should get a real job and stop leaching on the working class, even a quiet retirement would be deeply appreciated by all of us Argentine's. This man is a threat to Argentina's national security.

The US have recessions, after recessions like my country Argentina.
The US is flat broke and people are begging for food. I see it all the time.It bothers me, yes, it does. I feel they desperation and pain. Since the year 2000, the US politician are inmature, they act childish, they need to improve. The US postal service has 8 billon deficit and closing services and branches all around the US. More lay-offs, more poverty what a mess! CAN YOU BRING A SOLUTION FOR THE USA?

”Argentina Denies Inflation, Subsidizes Loans: Mortgages
    June 29, 2012 0:00 AM EDT
Argentines are lining up at banks again. This time, they’re leaving with loans.
Veronica Cajal, who wants to move out of her mother’s house, is among 1.4 million Argentines who applied for subsidized home-construction loans in the first week they were offered as part of a program designed to ease a chronic housing shortage and help revive growth in South America’s second- biggest economy.
The plan calls for the national pension agency to lend about 20 billion pesos ($4.4 billion) for new homes at rates as low as one-tenth the pace of consumer-price increases. The government is trying to foster home building as private banks balk at issuing long-term loans amid inflation that economists estimate at 24 percent a year, a legacy of government policies that followed a $95 billion default in 2001, when Argentines queued at banks to buy dollars before a currency devaluation.”

“My 2 countries are in the same economic mess!” Well then, if your “two countries are in the same economic mess” You sort it out.

As for “The US is flat broke and people are begging for food” well boo hoo!!!open your eyes love!!! the whole world is in a mess!! People begging for food?? ( do you hear that? It's the world's smallest violin slitting it's throat ) You “feel they desperation and pain” Yeah right!! 'course you do!! I doubt you have ever spared them a second thought, much less the peoples of the sudan, or those trying to make a living by sorting through rubbish tips to get their evening meal....

But that's ok isn't? as long as it happens in another country and to someone else. As long as you can switch CBS News off you can pretend you never saw it.....

“I see it all the time.It bothers me, yes, it does” quit your whinning, you don't even know what to suffer really means and you are making me feel sick.

Here in the US american citizens will call you “square”.
Please, pay attention and see the US Debt Clock ticking.
You simply don't care. I am doing well in the US because I learned to follow austerity, but when I see the US veterans on wheelchair on streets begging for food, I feel their pain and sometime I have tears in my eyes. The US not to much they can do for their veterans, they suffer mental and physical illness. Reference to the world hunger is their fault. African continues reproducing like rabbits, that's is their fault.
If you really “love” them, please teach them SEX education to prevent their miseries. Can you do that?

I am paying attention Sussie and understand the world is in deep recession, some nations are doing better than others, understood, USA & Argentina, both suffering, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Italy are suffering more than the UK, Germany, France etc in Europe. The banks have much to answer for and greed has been the cancer that has caused most of this misery. The Bank of England has just given the British banks a severe warning and have been ordered to further clean up their act with more fines of millions of £'s. Its exasperating and frustrating. However, the reasons some nations are worse off than others is often down to their leadership being just as corrupt and incompedent as the banks.

You see? you've just F**ked yourself in public. Like one of those bizarre letter they print in Penthouse. If YOU really cared you would have said something like “we must all work together to stop these people dying” instead, you come out with s**t like that? you really are a turd.

For your information, it is not an increase in population that has brought famine to The Sudan. It's War, and where is the USA?? Oh, sorry, The Sudan doesn't have any oil so I'm guessing that the US won't get involved. Plus the fact they have had no rain for about 3 years due to global warming ( who do we know is the biggest polluter?? Yes ladies and gentlemen the USA )

“I feel their pain and sometime I have tears in my eyes” so I can discount this line as you trying to prove ( and failing miserably ) that you have feelings and a heart instead of a swinging brick.

You know that oxygen you are breathing? It could be used to keep someone else more worth while alive instead of you. You have just proved ALL my misgivings about American's that they are only out for number one and to hell with the rest of the world.

Do you have an opinion of your own or do you actually believe all that s**t you see on CBS? I bet you do don't you? Yes, Yes you do!! and I just bet that you believe everything in movies as well don't you? You know, History according to Hollywood.......

Countries in Africa have suffered hunger and education for centuries. What is the best solution? The UK should educate the africans not to reproduce to avoid miseries. The US is helping as much as they can to help Africa but there is a limit. My USA is suffering the worst economic time like my Argentina and it will take years to improve.
The fact that food banks are asking for donations is to relieve the hunger of approximately 24 millons unemployeed, 46 millons on food stamps
and 27 millons USA citizens living below poverty level.
