My President Mujica had been wanting Venezuela in Mercosur for ages :)
You will find plenty of people thinking differently in Uruguay, but as democracy is nothing but the dictatorship of the masses, what counts is what the President says and wants, the representant of the people :)

Guzz, what you mention is not a democracy, but nothing else than a Autocracy elected every 4 or 5 years. What you believe to be democracy can only be identified as a banana-democracy.

Now I can see why Patriota is in Dilma's bad books.

He counselled against the bouncing of Paraguay/Uruguay/the rest into back-door entry for Venezuela, and was over-ruled.

He deserves a medal for judgement.

#3 I hope you're right, I really loved Pepe's speech at the Rio 20+ you posted the other day and I respect him greatly. I wonder if this foreign minister is to the right of his President just as the Brazilian one now quite openly is? Perhaps they should both be sacked...

Frente amplio is amplio indeed... It doesn't matter though, all attention is on Mujica.
