Perhaps the mighty CFK will send the new
Light jet-fighter Pampa II, totally designed and manufactured in Argentina

For a fly past over the type 45, in defiance,
To force the British to capitulate and beg for talks,

    http://en.mercopress.com/2012/08/13/argentina-shows-off-jet-model-and-calls-on-uk-to-dialogue-on-falklands-sovereignty

    Then again,
Would you want to see YOUR brand new plane, turned into a jigsaw puzzle, as its shot from the sky,
    lolol.

So much for the militarisation of the South Atlantic by Dauntless-it seems to have spent most of its time on diplomatic visits.
@1 Lol! I bet all the good people of the Falkland Islands and members of HM forces are living in a' continual nightmare', dreading that by 2016 that 40 'Pampers' will be ready.
    I hope they are absorbent.

Hang on - Angola? Where CFK recently visited and declared the usual blah about the de-militarisation of the South Atlantic, strong declarations of blah about support for Argentine blah over the Maldives along with assurances from Angola that zzzzz.......
So that was a completely wasted trip then, yeah?

@5 Of course it wasn't a wasted trip. It seems that a lot of her overseas trips are for the purpose of checking out suitable palaces for her retirement. Come to think of it, might that be where the US$6 million recently and mysteriously “disappeared” from her assets statement has gone?

The only thing we need to worry about with these is that they're so obsolete it confuses our anti-air defenses.

Like the RN attacking the Bismarck with Swordfish biplanes too slow for the Bismarck's AA to track effectively.

But hey, I think guided missiles are a little more advanced than that :)

    Dear British colleagues,

May I remind you that Goliath, the Giant, fell to a miserable stone David had the luck to hit his head with...

In 1982 not only David's boat went down to the octopuses realms, but quite a few of the supposed Goliath.

Resilience and bravery are the key to success. Not hardware, albeit it may help.

On the other hand, scorn is the homage that mediocrity renders to genius.

    Cheers!

    @13

    Really!

What about the 61 (I think from memory) Argie aircraft shot down?

What about a force, a mere fraction of the 85,000 of your so called 'troops' who, having sailed half-way around the world almost, managed to kick your arses off the Falklands (there are STILL no Malvinas)?

Forgotton that little bit did you? Using your analogy, the Brits were David and you bunch of tossers were Goliath.

    LOL

@13 Her Majesty's Ship Dauntless can destroy the entire argie air force (joke) by itself. Want to try her out? Shall we send another Type 45? 2 or 3 British submarines could destroy Buenos Aires City. Should we “try”? One Vanguard class submarine could destroy Buenos Aires Province. Shall we send all four?

Reminder: 1982. 11,313 “resilient and brave” argie prisoners. Here's another thought for you. On the day of the “cesspit” invasion, a number of Royal Marines, all armed, moved out of Stanley to continue UK resistance. Any argie finks move out to continue the battle, did they? Not one single slimeball. Only to pleased to drop their weapons. Argies. Sh*te in a bucket with a hole!

@14; 15 You're barking at the wrong tree.

Fool Britannia may waive the rules, but some of her subjects will never learn: there's no small enemy!

By the way, these people should have been aware after all this time, that i) I'm not a hawk; ii) I favour the kelpers' independence...

and iii) that I can't stand foolish postings.

    Hi briton!

    You'll find me here http://www.falklands.info/background/argentine82.html

    being superior
    means also respect.
    ways may be different
    but there is an aspect
    in which we don't differ
    we're born and we live
    until we're caught by Death!

    Oh to be in England
    now that April's there...
    (I'll be with Robert Browning
till the end of my days!)

By the way, an anthology of War poetry, Malvinas/Falklands related, by Argentine, British and American poets, collected by the American poetess Ms Sue Littleton, will be presented in Buenos Aires on the 23rd inst. at 'El Ateneo Grand Splendid' on Santa Fe Av.@ 7.00 p.m. Should you want to attend, entrance is free and gratis, no booking, first come first served, subject to available room.

All poems in the book are in Spanish, some as the original language they were written on, while others are translations of poems in English. It is not easy to translate poetry, even your own, and much grip can be lost especially at the turns of phrase, but that was a precondition to participate. Two of my own in English, included thereon, are my translations into Spanish, and I will be the appointed reader of these and others from other authors!

”I'm not a hawk; ii) I favour the kelpers' independence.”..

If you are serious, my respect to you, you are not brainwashed.

However@ 13,I cannot logically agree that Argentina was the 'David' as there were only about 80 RMs defending Stanley against 1000s of ' Goliath' Argentine soldiers.

Sad then, how the envious get shifty,
How jealousy creeps in, and the wise cracks seep, like juice from the legs,

Indoctrinated, it truly beggars belief .

    @ 37

Don't you agree?....Well, I have the rights to respond the rubbish bloddy english people in the same manner!
......Donde esta su sentido de ser justo y respectuoso con las mujeres?

About me, I tell you I am very proud I am the first generation of italian immigrants.
I was raised in Km.3, Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, Argentina.

    Por que dice
.... ” you just escaped from an institution that left the doors open on purpose, so you can leave for the United States”?

I was hired at the early age of 19 years old by a group of land developers in Rio Negro, Argentina.
The group included, french, italian, spanish, german and the american company of Alcan Pacific.
A german argentinian, Mr. Nestor Lieberman hired me the same day I was interviewed.
After working 3 years as an administrative assistant I was offered to work in Sacramento, California, by the american company known as Alcan Pacific. The same company gave me the opportunity to work in Saigon and Nha-Trang Vietnam and in Bangkok, Thailand.
As a Patagonian woman I am happy the life I have: I have 2 countries, 2 nationalites.

As a person, I have nothing to hide.
My records in the USA kept by the Federal Goverment clearly states:

    USA citizenship granted in 1987.
    No records of drugs
    No records of prostitution
    No criminal records
    No driving traffic violations
No bankruptcy recorded in 50 states
    No political party
Something else you would like to know about me? I have nothing to hide!
