A Brazilian federal court has ordered the immediate suspension of work on the controversial Belo Monte hydroelectric plant, ruling that indigenous communities were not consulted. It was set to be the world's third-largest dam. Read full article

I think this is probably a good decision, the natives should not be run roughshod over, ever. Though I hope some compromise can be found that allows the development potential of this work to be reached
