For a supposedly modern democracy where the populace have a choice, where the rule of law is upheld and not changed to suit a small cabal of sycophants Argentina seems to be drifting towards the area occupied by other beacons of democracy - North Korea, Belarus, Equatorial Guinea, Iran and not forgetting Hugo's socialist utopia where the countries vast natural resources are being abused by corruption and nepotism.

Well, the Argentineans want her and they should have her forever, or as long as it takes for her stupid 'models' to implode the country.

Then perhaps, that would be the end of the Peronistas. But I doubt it.

I'm all for it. If Peronism leads to a crash every 10 years (as is the current well held tradition) it will make it easier to buy property and cheaper to go on holiday

Surely the Argentine populace is not blind enough as to allow this strange woman to lead them into a total mire?

If the option is her and a government that will sign suicide treaties with the EU, US, Russia, China, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, India, etc, that open our market to all their products, but without requiring them to do the same whatsoever (which is the only deal you all want Argentina to sign, you import to us we cant' export to you), then yes she, bur prefferably another politician, will be elected from the K wing.

Indeed we are afraid, the country belongs to them now. She found a way to control the masses and divide the citizens. If there's to be riot, it will end up in civil war.
If the batata queen goes for the re-re-election, we're dooomed.

Yeah, i hope things change soon.
The problematic thing about this country is that after one corrupt governemt is gone, another corrupt government will take power. Its like people forgetting about the past and repeating the same errors all over again.

@13 Don't worry, there is light at the end of the tunnel. She's not an especially patient person, is she? So, sooner or later, she'll have a go with the “military option” to ty to get the Falkland Islands. Then WE (Britain) will have to respond again. Only thing is that the game has changed. Now we have more than capable air defence destroyers. Submarines capable of launching cruise missiles as well as torpedos, a more numerical and well-equipped defence force, top-of-the-range combat aircraft and transport/tanker aircraft capable of flying to the Falklands non-stop, carrying 300+ troops AND refuelling other aircraft on the way. Reinforcements could be landing in as little as 16 hours. Not much of an option unless she likes suicide. Might be an idea to spread the word!
But here's a thought. Count the number of peronists. Match that against the population. Who has the majority? You have to fight for democracy and freedom. Nothing worth having comes for free!

I hope she changes the constitution and restands. But if she does not then Timmerman, Castro, Kicillof etc can all provide good left leadership

    Dear Sir Rodderick,

Don't lose heart, if we manage to get rid of Kretina and her troupe of clowns, the next government MAYBE, just maybe a few percentage points LESS corrupt than this cancer we're bearing up with at the moment, and that is a small step in the right direction!!!!!
