Moody's Investors Service has changed the rating outlook on Argentina to negative from stable, citing haphazard economic policy decisions coupled with increasing questions about the reliability of official statistics. Read full article
It's official junk status......she worked hard at it and got it !!
Moody's ratings are a bit hard to read. If I have it right, Argentina is currently rated at the bottom of Highly Speculative Junk Bond, and is in danger of being downgraded to Substantial Risk Junk Bond.
That puts it two grades above Default Immenent With Little Prospect For Recovery Junk Bond.
Have I got that right?
Yes: http://www.moodys.com/researchdocumentcontentpage.aspx?docid=PBC_79004 - page 5
It basically means that for every $1,000 you invest in Argentina you will lose $1,000
Since they will not have the ability to sell Int'l bonds for a long long long time the rating is meaningless.
another win for the RG's !!! Junk status CFK must be glowing with pride...might explain the orange tint.
Where is Duny Burger, UK inflation back down to 2.5% you can tell your 'friends' they don't need to leave UK now.
Who cares......we don't need the blood sucking IMF. The are greedy and against us and only want to milk us for everything we have !!!
Argieland - how do you get so much sh*te in one bucket? Argieland must be made to PAY for everyone who has suffered. Let's start with £2 million for each Falkland Islander killed in 1982. That's £6 million. Then £1 million for each British serviceman killed. That's another £255 million. Not that the lives of British servicemen are worth less. Just that they volunteered. Then another half a million pounds for each British serviceman wounded. Another £388 million. How about another £1 billion in compensation for the invasion? And another £1 billion for the minefields. And how much of that £2.65 billion has argieland paid? NOTHING!! Cowardly crooks! Is there an argie worthy of life? Not while the war debt is unpaid. EVERY argie is a WAR CRIMINAL. And EVERY argie MUST be made to PAY!! MONEY or BLOOD!
They did leave us a couple of Pucarras and some napalm when they left. What more do you want?
But I bet the Pucarras didn't work!
And, I think we should send the napalm back to the Casa Rosada, just to warm TMBOA a little - mustn't melt the face!
As they say: 'ahh! the smell of napalm in the morning'.
Moody’s changes Argentina rating outlook to negative from stable
I wonder how they'd rate the moody cow in charge that probably has pretensions that she was born in a stable?
now moody must be aware of a visit of the finance policy of the housewife!
It seems even PayPal has put a hold on Arg transactions, so desperate to buy dollars they are transfering money through PayPal.
Desperate time Argies!
He claims it is important to prevent tax evasion and money laundering - so why is Argentina in a boat with only North Korea for company??? They can't even be honest about why they are doing it.
The owe about U$11 Billion next year. The only way for them to get it at this point is to have that much of a positive trade balance. If not they will be forced into another default. If they lose WB IDB funding it makes that number almost impossible to achieve.
I am a Rating Agency too !
Argentina rating not bad ,so so !
This play should be titled: K politics or How to sink a prosperous country in 3 acts. (Act III yet to be seen)
The cyber k's are disappearing more and more every day
It is rainy and windy in BA today not a good combination for electricity or internet in that place and one of the reasons I moved back to civilization!
lol you would not believe this......it happened here as well. I'm in NH for a few days and the weather is like a gale and lost power. The opffice is running on emergency generator. Transformer took a lightening strike.
I've been scouring the net for IMF news.
Despite storm in BA Internet connection fine, cable ok, voip service working as usual.
Economy fine, thanks for you concern...
Any more shit to post from you as usual?
Sorry no time for entertaining stuff from poor idiot English speakers. I have a lot of work to do, so I’m very busy earning more money.
Moody's said it would consider moving the rating outlook back to stable should Argentina's policy mix becomes more consistent and predictable
These arrogant bankers really hater Cristina because she sets policies for her people not for them, and they'll have to get used to it!
Yea sure.....and 6 pesos a day makes them healthy, wealthy and wise.
20... Earning more money ...thought this was your job trolling???
still your wages will need to track with the 30% inflation or it's goodnight mr chips. don't think the economy in Argentina is very healthy despite you expert reports in the past. just read the news it's in shocking state.
Did you see another police officer shot down in 24 hours. I wonder if he was a bagman that got greedy.
A mining spoil-heap can be stable, but it is still a spoil-heap.
Seems the BCRA reserves are a lot less then lead to believe. There was a total of just 500 billion in reserves (pesos) of which 16% was foreign funds......roughly 80 billion pesos or 17.4 billion DOLLARS. unfortunately 14%, 70 billion pesos...15.2 billion dollars were pegged as credit deposits.....not their money. Reality is that they only had 2.2 billion in December 2011. while they made some money in surplus, they also paid those bonds. They really have no international funds in reserves.
Wow no trolls swamping this news article. Funny all seem mega interested in flooding the UN reprimanding Argentina for stealing indiginous natives land. You can second guess the desparate Le Campora troll network
They do not like being called bad children
The trolls have no idea what this really means.
But they are about to find out.
Yes I know and it kills me. My wifes family still lives there
