    This is a good thing in recovering America's image among Latin American allies after so much influence being lost due to British adventurism in the Malvinas war.

    British adventureism. What? that would be when 10,000 British soldiers attacked 80 Argentine marines, under the cover of darkness would it? and how those same 10,000 British soldiers repulsed an Argentine task force of half their strength and won a glorious victory against overwhelming odds! would it? Do you mean that British adventureism. Just asking? like to get historical facts rights. You plonker, know what a ponker is? let me tranlate that into argyank for you, what a jerk!

    You mean like sinking a ship heading back to port on notice of a peace deal. I like your ability for creative insults. No harm done.

    You mean one arm of a pincer attack do you? over 300 men died on that ship, do not demean their memory or their deaths by suggesting they were out there on a fucking pleasure cruise. They were as the crew of a battle cruiser engaged in conflict with an enemy fleet, had they the chance to engage their enemy, they would have. You only have to look at the actions of the FAA to know that. If they could have closed with, engaged and sank a British carrier, they would have done so. So don't you dare score points on the deaths of brave men!
    You really are a piece of work, sailing home on notice of peace deal. Fuck me, you would even take away their right to die as heroes of their nation, to score points. There are no words to descibe your kind!!! You would rob the dead of their honour!!

    @3:

    “n announcing the establishment of a Maritime Exclusion Zone around the Falkland Islands, HER MAJESTY'S GOVERNMENT MADE IT CLEAR THAT THIS MEASURE WAS WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE RIGHT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM TO TAKE WHATEVER ADDITIONAL MEASURES MAY BE NEEDED IN THE EXERCISE OF ITS RIGHT OF SELF-DEFENCE UNDER ARTICLE 51 OF THE UNITED NATIONS CHARTER”

    [emphasis mine]

    Simply put, the belgrano would have been a valid target even if it were in port at the time. Your navy was operating under land-based air cover and ran like cowards the moment the Royal Navy scored a kill. Crying about nonsensical legal points in the face of your inability to prosecute a war that YOUR COUNTRY STARTED just makes you look weak, pathetic and ineffectual.

    Maybe if the Belgrano's escort vessels has stayed in the area to pick up survivors rather than RUNNING AWAY LIKE FRIGHTENED CHICKENS, Argentina's casualty figures in the war might have been closer to parity with a force that sailed literally halfway round the world and ejected your greasy gyppo military from our land.

    Better luck next time :)

    My point is a simple one, this bloke has no honour! the circumstances of how or why the Belgrano was sunk is irrelevent. She was a battle cruiser sailing to engage an enemy fleet, her sailors, okay, enemy sailors, died doing their duty. This cnut would take that away from them with a ferkin lie to score points on a web site. Maybe it is just me, but that is about as low as you can get. It robs them and their status, agree with it or not, as heroes in their own country and that is wrong, very wrong. Right or wrong side of the conflict, these sailors died doing their duty as our sailors did and they deserve the same respect.

    Oh!

    Poor Britain, No Empire, No democracy, No Army, No carriers, No industrial sector, No money, No jobs, No hope, NO honour.

    Just snaking coward attacks and looking everyday even more like a province of some countries in North Africa or Middle East.

    Can be any worse?

    @8 Dunni-Burger

    You know, I am completely mystified why, if all you claim is true about the parlous state of Britain why are the aG so frightened of us?

    We have TMBOA screeming about militarising the Atlantic when we have to be there because of the AG attack on the Falklands (there are STILL no Malvinas) and we most certainly do not trust any argie when they say we could not attack.

    We have all the stupid sods aka the AG 'government' gobshiteing about the mythical Malvinas to every country they think are their best allies (that's a real joke for a start) and the UN.

    Why don't you all grow up and behave like mature people do for once in your lives.

    listen to the likes of Simon68 and you will begin to make progress.

    But, of course, you are incapable of maturity on almost any issue if the Brits are involved OR even if you think we are involved as you are petrified we will get 'one up on you'.

    I have news for you: we are already SEVERAL points up on you, the main one being the Falklands belongs to the Falklanders and that will remain the case. Until somebody with intelligence and humanity is President of AG they will never even discuss trade or selling you oil. So I guess that will be forever.

    The Argentines have nothing to be proud of, literally nothing. If we did have no army or navy then the Falklands would be there for the taking wouldn't they? Some very bitter and messed up Argies on here. Oh how much did a carton of leche go up since I started my post?

    Given that lying statement I think you have ascended into the ranks of 'I don't Think' aka The Turnip In Chief and previously to you the BIGGEST LIAR on MercoPress.

    In fact I think you have surpassed him with your lack of veracity, but heh, you are a WOP after all. Your family didn’t come from Naples or Caserta did they?

    So, what to tag you, yes I have it: Liar In Chief. There, I bet you're proud of that accolade.

    Having the USA military coming to Uruguay cannot be a “good thing” for Uruguay or any of South America. The USA wants obeisance to the Empire. Next they coerce the Uruguayans to join the wars on terror, drugs, etc. and to buy their munitions. The USA military's visit is anything but goodwill.

    @1 “British adventurism”? Like a bunch of faggots attacking a peaceful British territory? Please try again. So we can wipe this cancer off the face of the planet!
    @3 You mean like sinking a ship that was a legitimate target? That was headed for a RV in Falklands waters? That argie scum have lied about for 30 years? Why didn't HMS Conqueror surface and machine-gun every argie life-raft and every argie? Why didn't HMS Conqueror sink the two accompanying argie vessels? Could have killed so many more argies. Always a good thing!
    @8 And the 1982 argie declaration of war? How about sending 66,000 troops to confront the 80 British ones? How about siting artillery pieces between civilian homes? How about imprisoning defenceless civilians without food or water? What about painting Red Cross signs on troop barracks, supply vessels and so forth. And you DARE use the word “honour”? Let me remind you that 11,313 argie cowards surrendered. And we let them live! We even transported them back to their cesspit. Try again. Don't bank on anyone coming “home”. I would have no hesitation in demanding that any hostile argie even getting close should die. No problem with 11,000, 20,000, 50,000, 100,000, 500,000 argie corpses. Dumped 500 miles offshore as fishfood.
    @9 It's not “your” South Atlantic. International waters. End of. Except that someone should kill at least one argie every day.

    Mmmm. Rather have the Americans than the bunch of Venezeulan Gangsters dressed in their military uniform, calling themselves 'soldiers' and getting the Uruguayan squaddies in our Military Uniform to swear allegience to Dead Man Walking himself: Chavez.

    The government opposition where quite rightly enraged by this but Pepe did nothing, as far as we know.

    BTW somebody needs to do something with all the drugs coming from our friends south of the Plate, you know, like shoot the bastards who bring them in: end off.
