    Nice one Switzerland!!!!!

    Always first at going second!!

“The Swiss government’s Federal Council explained in a communiqué that Swiss authorities have nothing to do with the management of assets deposited in the BIS by foreign central banks.”

I hope you can sleep at night, after all, what better way to kid yourself than by saying “It's nothing to do with me.............”

It's not like they aren't consistent, I mean, does the neutrality of the Swiss really surprises you? :)

Yup, they have done exactly the same for the remainder of the assets of the third reich for a number of years now so this news is not surprising...

Why does Argentina have money in the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) if they don't SETTLE anything?

If my calculations are correct there is less than U$10B there now. Arg is in effect bankrupt...again.

They will have another constructive default on all Prov and Fed bonds by paying everyone “in country” in pesos.

    Collapse is imminent...

Perhaps seizure of any Argentine national assets is warranted such as YPF facilities , Aerolinas airplanes, etc. Its nice to see the Peronists get a taste of their own medicina

Interesting point yankee because the tankjers are contracted from the Brits....or at least they use to be. They can seize the ships once loaded and then unload them into their own leased takers......lol
2013 oil imports to argentina is expected to be almost 11 billion and of course that needs to be paid in U$ dollars. Consider that they have maybe 11 billion in U$ reserves protected by BIS, and say they maintain a quarterly balance of trade surplus of 1 billion a quarter. Between the debt payoffs and oil imports, 2013 is the year they collapse, unless they are buying Power Ball tickets.

Doggy, Do you think if they really has U$45B in savings they would have restricted citizens travel $?
That is the very last step before another default and a complete collapse.
