US based Noble Energy and farm-in partners with Falkland Islands Oil and Gas (FOGL) visited the Falklands to meet with their partners and the Falklands government and to assess in-situ the oil related infrastructure. Read full article
Well it would be none of your business whether it was or whether it wasn't, those islands have nothing to do with you. Noble sound happy enough though.
sour grapes from our hostile Argentinian neighbours. maybe this is because no-one wants to invest in mad cow. for those who don't know, mad cow is not CFK but an oilfield in north Argentina.
Obviously with the crazy tactics of the CFK administration, foreign firms, especially in Europe, worry that investment will be stolen, such as the YPF/Repsol case
@1 - Lol poor old Marcus, still relying on peoples own personal opinionated blogs, completely unaware that the author most likely doesn't even know all the facts and is merely jumping to conclusions without having all the facts or information about the amount of oil or presumed amount based on scientific study and research of the area.
I guess marcos is still enjoying his hobby of pissing in the wind - CFK must be glad the libertard is in Ghana, as i bet shes sick of cleaning all the Argentina urine of the sails lol - Poor old marcus really must love it when the wind changes direction mid pee, and blows it back in his face lol
Good link.....................
The article mentions Malvinas, oil, generous people and Texan Oil Magnates..... Makes me remember this classic video from Wales, England...:
(Listen carefull to the girl at 0:08 and 0:20)
Your jealousy is quite amusing. The Falklands is going from strength to strength with many oil companies around the world willing and eager to invest.
Poor Argentina. Because of the unfriendly policies of your government, and the fact that they have a habit of stealing things that don't belong to you and not paying off your debts (also stealing), no oil companies seem interested in investing in Argentina.
No wonder you're both angry. Never mind. The Falklands will go from strength to strength. Who knows, one day they might invest in Argentina. LOL
Why is it that we, who have the third largest reserves of shale g & o in the world, cannot find anyone in Russia, China, USA, EU, or UK to invest in exploring and exploiting it and the Falklands with a probably moderate oil field, in rather dangerous deep water, seem to have no difficulty in finding investors???
Could it be something to do with “generosity, openness and transparency” as opposed to ”grasping, lying and corruption?????

@1 Very nice. One person's opinion. And that person didn't even choose the title of the article. You are such a joke!
@6 No, it isn't. It's a crap link. And it doesn't mention malvinas. It refers to the Falkland Islands, their proper name. You should do the same. It might go some way toward suggesting that you aren't motivated by colonialism, criminality, greed, imperialism, poor education.........
@9 What's the matter? Getting afraid for your crystal balls? Being such a warm, generous, open, democratic people, shouldn't you be wishing the Falkland Islanders good luck. To do otherwise would be pretty mean-spirited.
Well, who would have thought that hard-headed oil executives would rather invest in the Falklands (there are STILL no Malvinas) than in some backwater on the southern cone?
Think, your attitude has certainly changed. You used to preach that there is no oil, now I see you will be waiting for actual outcomes in future years. But as I have said in the past, your opinion counts for nothing. You are merely a spectator, and a bitter one at that. The only people who matter are the Islanders, the people of the Falklands. And this will forever continue.
Speaking about Oil.....
Where is Mr. Bloggs....?
Has he sold his beach front property to the texans.....?
Or are those cunning Yanks waiting for the last throw of the dice result...?
”Texas based Noble Energy Regional Vice President International Division Charles J’Chip Rimer said he was struck by the Falklands’ “generosity, openness and transparency”.
I realise now that there are a few words there that might give the Argentine posters a few problems and cause confusion. the post at 8 ( Simon68 ) said it all.
What a joy it must be for them to deal with people in such a way rather than to have to listen to all the lies, excuses and cover ups from TMBOA / Ol' Turkey Neck / KFC and her government.
Think and Marcos - Can you please explain WHY
In the last 6 months the Islands have attracted 3 oil companies (one UK,one Fr/Italian,one USA)who have and are now investing cash in the offshore exploration and forthcoming extraction.
Yet Argentina has not managed to attract Any firm deals and investment?
Why is this?
Oh and Think - I will remind you about your annual comparison each year as we go by:
For info
2013 - SeaLion exploitation construction of equipment and planning in Scotland. Infrastructure investment in Falklands by Falklands Govt and private sector to be ready for start of SealLion Dev phase - and probable additional exploration by RKH in 2nd half 2014.
2014 - first half as above
secondhalf - arrival of rigs and start of development phase and perhaps additional exploration
2015 - as second half of 2014
2016 - as above
2017 - as above but with production likley to start later in the year.
2018 - production flowing - royalties flowing into Falkland Islands Govt.
Meanwhile- 2014 onwards there will be additional exploration drilling in the southern area following the positive results to date- subject deepsea rig availability of course.

When is the court action Argentina promised against the oil prospectors around the Falkland Islands going to happen?
Anytime in the next 200 years?
