According to official data from Moscow veterinary services, for the first nine months of 2012, in total 500,000 pigs were slaughtered in order to stop the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Russia. Read full article

    We were scared of swine flu for years in Britain but not much came of it, hope this is a similar false alarm
