The Falkland Islands government has granted a one year extension for Rockhopper Exploration’s production licences PL023 and PL024. The licences, in which Rockhopper has a 40% interest, have been extended until November 2013, with no requirement for the operator to perform further work on the licences in that time. Nov 03rd, 2012 - 12:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0after all, if they had found oil stright away , you argies would say it was a con trick, or british planted oil drums.
give it time, lay back and think of the falklands,
and the oil will flow in no time.
3...your in that Egyptian river pal.... Where is guzz with his in depth economical investigations that consist of posting the stock exchange prices of oil companies claiming its all lies. You trolls can't change the truth , the black gold is coming...lets just wait and see

This heist will not pass forever, the oil will have to benefit the continent of which it is part and not be siphoned off to the other end of the world even if thats what a small village worth of Brits want!

If I ever get to know where you really are I might just get a few 'friends' round to have a word in your shell like. Catch my drift?
8 BK : The oil will have to benefit the thieving government of Cristina fernandez de Kirchner is what you really mean .
Nov 03rd, 2012 - 12:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Maybe Argentina can send the navy in to stop production ?
Ah , that's right they replaced the navy with keyboard warriors .
Shame .

Nov 03rd, 2012 - 01:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So right. After all the oil has been extracted the Falklands will have received a bonanza. The revenues received will have been pumped into the local economy to improve the infrastructure and new businesses will have been established. Who knows, they could even start up a Vulture Fund - plenty of pickings not too far west of the islands !
what are they doing dont they know argentina has said no to oil exploration within The Falklands territory, i guess nobody listens or give two sh1ts what argentina does or says :)))) DRILL ON!!!!

If he's a Brit then he is exercising what freedom of speech he can and threats like yours do nothing other than bring discredit upon the British nation and most of what she upholds.
You should be ashamed and you should apologise.
@8 Ho ho ho. Getting worried, Burger King? Here's a few tips for you. The Falkland Islands have been British for longer than argtards have existed. Your other hero, King Alex, is being proved, week after week, to be a liar. An independent Scotland WILL have to join the queue if it wants to join the EU. Will the UK give up oil and gas fields to Scotland? It's not straightforward. There are treaties involved and all the signatories would have to agree. And we might use it all up first! But what's this about a heist? What's argieland trying to steal now? Is there enough room to list all the stuff that argieland has either stolen or tried to steal?
Nov 03rd, 2012 - 02:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@13 Actually, old boy, BK regularly brings discredit on the British nation. Still, all being well, he won't be British for too much longer. He'll just be Scottish. One of a small group of poverty-stricken, skirt-wearing, starving, whingeing peasants at the end of the world. Notable for their coracle navy, their kite force and the skirt-lifters!

Nov 03rd, 2012 - 05:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If you took the trouble to read the posts instead of blowing it out your considerable arse you would have seen that BK is neither a supporter of King Alex or independence, but a supporter of the Union. But again, why let the facts get in the way of your prejudices. You are the prime example of why England - (not the UK )- has no particular friends in Europe. I could post he same crap about the English but I have too much respect for most of them - your type excepted.. There is no point in arguing with you, it would need a depleted uranium shell to try and penetrate what passes for a brain inside your dense skull.
Are you in fact an Argie troll ? You seem to have the same mindset and delusional illusions of grandeur.
Get into your Tardis and return to the middle ages where you would probably thrive.
You can sing this song on your travels
There always be an England as long as Scotland's there
Tinx - Beef may not also make a post but he never goes away. Where there is profit there is beef! Just so happened profit took my to Bucharest :) hik! and next month profit takes my to Hong Kong :)

BK - IF the Falklands are part of that continent !
Argentina has an economic blockade to prevent THE FALKLAND ISLANDS from participating with that continent.
At the same time, they want THE ISLAS MALVINAS , and say that THE FALKLAND ISLANDS do not exist.
Never mind, one way or the other, THE FALKLAND ISLANDS will benefit from the oil, right where they are, part of 'the continent' or not.
The oil - that can be shipped to the UK, if so desired, OR anywhere else that is prepared to buy it, the profits benefitting THE FALKLAND ISLANDS, part of the continent, or not.
:-D
The oil, belongs to those who paid for it,
Nov 03rd, 2012 - 07:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Invested, drilled, put the money up,
Did all the exploration.
Did Argentina do any of the hard work, [no]
So why should she share the profits,
Its Falklands oil,
And you envious Argies will have to get used to it,
Still,
You could always dig for ya own oil,
.

Of course.
And the real kicker ??
Argentina had an agreement before everyone else, to be a partner and share the oil and profits.
Too bad they got greedy and sulky, AND WITHDREW !!
LOL LOL LOL
bet there are regrets, now ...

“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”It seems, rather, that they are trying to claim the reverse : because the Falklands, South Georgia and South Sandwich islands are Argentine, the Argentine continental shelf extends all the way to Antarctica. “”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“”“””
QFT
Despite the Aug 14th post being clearly in favour of the Argies (QFT denoting truth) and your spelling error of ‘Pitato’ in the post of Oct 1st being inconclusive (it might be a pun on your part) I had to get forward to Sept 1st to find a post very similar to a typical argie.
No reference to the post you are answering, together with the classical LatAm use of several periods (full stops to you) expecting the reader to use osmosis to decide just what is meant, is classic Argie.
NOW, to the point. Do you think I give a damn for your OPINION of my post? AND, I most certainly did not waste more than a second divided by a googol in thinking about it.
So you can urinate on your way out of whatever hole you are living in. Is that polite enough for you?
Peace.
BK is an RG troll. pretending to be a Scotsman.....an older one, hence his calmess opposed the that teenager alex vargas. Don't even bother to get sucked into is drivel.

Perhaps we persuaded the Argentines to surrender by threatening to put the Duke of Kent in an unarmed helicopter.

You weren't on the Falklands in 1690 or 1765.
(Note these dates preceed 1833, when Proto Argentines accepted British rule and stayed on in 1833. Oh and in 1833 there were NO English settlers (one Scotsman and one Irishman amongst the settlers who were mostly of South American origin)-no Argentina till 1853 by the way).
Apart from the fact that the UK had a valid claim on the Falklands from 1690, Argentina cannot have been usurped in 1833 when it did not exist.
@27 Pete
Nov 04th, 2012 - 11:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0ever notice that the trolls raise the same issues at least once a month, every month?
It matters not if we successfully refute their nonsense. We seem to debunk it each time and BK or a 'new' poster, pops up and starts all over again.
It seems that they just want to keep the lie out there in cyberspace, so that it gets seen.
@28
Nov 05th, 2012 - 12:01 am - Link - Report abuse 0I'm wasting time really but it just amuses me to keep rubbing in their ignorance as they don't bother with referencing real evidence-I do find it hilarious fun.
Yes-like the Nazi's if you repeat a lie enough times it will be accepted.
Their problem is the return fire is always too hot for them.
There is historical evidence being un-earthed all the time that makes the Argentine sovereignty claim even more ludicrous, and whilst I don't hold the UKs politicians in high regard, the activities of the Argentinian politicians and the crap they come out with is truly amusing, its that stupid.
Off to pursue the noble art of shitspinning.............................
