Cruises visiting Port Stanley, Falkland Islands during January 2013
Nov 30th, 2012 - 09:53 am - Link - Report abuse 0http://www.cruisetimetables.com/visitingportstanleyfalklandislands-jan2013.html
Wow, what a great country Argentina is ... a laughing stock on the world stage, its dirty washing being dragged out in courtrooms across the continents .... and its only successes achieved through kristallnacht thuggery and intimidation. How proud you must be.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 10:07 am - Link - Report abuse 0I have sent this company an email regarding their decision to give in to thuggery and asking them if they realise the risk of their passengers being robbed, raped and killed while they are in BsAs has increased considerably since the dissatisfaction with the government.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 10:52 am - Link - Report abuse 0I have also mentioned that four couples, friends of ours still in the UK are taking one of their four cruises they take each year to South America for 2013 but will NOT be going anywhere near this despotic country, as they are not stupid. This precludes them from using Seaborn.
They will of course be talking about this to their other friends who also regularly take cruises.
Malvinas are no longer in the company’s tourism itinerary.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 11:18 am - Link - Report abuse 0:)
The vessel is in and tours are taking place on a fine spring morning. Those are the facts, the rest is b******t.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 11:23 am - Link - Report abuse 0Why am I reminded of Veruca Salt?
Nov 30th, 2012 - 11:23 am - Link - Report abuse 0@5 seems legit, I can't see 'Malvinas' in those itineries at all, in fact i'm pretty sure there won't be any vessel visiting 'Malvinas' this year, next year or any year in the future.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 11:24 am - Link - Report abuse 0I don't blame the company. At the end of the day they are having their staff threatened and attacked because they are doing something the government doesn't like. Any reasonable company would act in the same manor to protect it's interests and staff.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 11:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0I am disgusted that this is happening though. It is seriously time that Argentina starts getting some of it's own medicine. The IMF review can't come soon enough because Argentina needs to feel what an embargo feels like! Not that that would really change much I suppose since they've pretty much already embargo'd themselves trade wise. Tourism would be where I imagine RG land would suffer most. Ban all flights and ships going to RGland and out of RGland.
Heres to creating a petition on HM Gov website!
The good news is that a default is looming for Argentina on 15th December and the IMF will be in town with their 'Red Card' on the 17th December so this will guarantee a Merry Christmas for all of Argentina.
Nov 30th, 2012 - 11:38 am - Link - Report abuse 0Im sure the foreign office are already dealing with this, im sure it wont be long before we are hitting them where it hurts. Its pretty shameful to see a US based company giving in to terrorism though.

Nov 30th, 2012 - 12:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The capital of Argentine Patagonia got it wrong. The vessel probably said, Bye chaps, we are now off to the Falklands, and that when RG logic and wishful thinking was applied turned into We are not going to the Malvinas.

Nov 30th, 2012 - 02:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Either the story is complete bullshit
or
The shipping company told your officials they weren't coming here and then just came here
or
The shipping company said they weren't going to the Malvinas, kept their word because there is no Malvinas, and then came here to the Falklands
or
The ship isn't here despite all of the evidence (which you can all source independently and see for yourselves)
What a bunch of losers anyone who helped to concoct this piece of bullshit must be.
Chuckle chuckle
I think this might be a case of a dodgy phone line. The liner company probably said that it wasn't going anywhere near Madeira (the autonomous region of Portugal that's about 300 miles off of the coast of Africa), which is fair enough, most people find flying into Funchal easier anyway.

The article also described how much the relevant shares have gone up in the last week. The Trolls who like to update us on share prices must have forgot to check them this week because we've heard no mention of them.

It's good to be back in the islands after another trip to earn my daily bread. Too hot where I was.
Why is it ok for the UK/EU/US to punish countries doing business with Iran, docking at their ports, by not allowing such a country to do business with you... but not ok for other countries to use the same diplomatic tool?
Nov 30th, 2012 - 05:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Check mate. Have a great day!
Oh the mind of an epic chess player, Iran is a rouge state that funds terrorism around the world. he Falklands are a small island of 3000 peaceful inhabitants. ow do you explain the fact that the ship is in port in the Falklands????
Nov 30th, 2012 - 05:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0got your sailing frigate out of hock yet???
check mate ?
Nov 30th, 2012 - 05:47 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So you are comparing the UK/EU/US attempts to curtail Iran (with its stated aim to wipe a neighbouring country of the face of the earth, aggressively persuing nuclear weapons and with a horrific human rights record), and Argentina's illegal attempt to gain sovereignty over Islands that it has no justifiable claim to ? Wow.
Anyway, apart from that leap of twisted logic, you occasionally demonstrate rational thinking. If you sit down and think about it, do you honestly think your government have the intellectual capacity to govern ? Do you think all that has happened to your country recently is everyone else's fault and Argentina is totally blameless in all this (and would have an excellent social, political and economic record otherwise?)
My country has lots of flaws, but when I sit down and think about it there is some common sense to how its run. Can you say the same thing?
Neither of you answered the question. Forget about the morals...
Nov 30th, 2012 - 05:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Just on the mere basis of it, what difference is there in the actual right to use this tool?
US/UK/EU don't want anyone but themselves from having nukes. That's the only thing left in between themselves and utter political irrelevance.

Nov 30th, 2012 - 07:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0A cowards decision,
The British government should have by now, have issued the UN will a warning, that all Argentinean ships would be barred from UK ports,
And ask the commonwealth to do the same,
We have said it once, and will repeat until the cows come home.
CFK will do what she wants, when she wants , and to whom she wants until someone stops her,
So crying abt other decisions by other countries is rather irrelevant when our own country does nothing.

If Argentina's government wants to lose its people jobs and income that is fine... why on earth would the UKs government want to do that to its own population?
We will quite happily take Argentine ships and money whenever & wherever they dock.
Pretty dumb to do otherwise.
-----------------------
Sometimes I think that people forget that the Falklands already belong to the Falklands Islanders, nobody is going to take it away from them (other than by force) so there is absolutely no need to even consider embargoes or anti-Argentine motions/movements.
It makes the Argentine Government look like grasping neo-colonials trying desperately to grab land they know they dont have any rights to... everything they do to try to force their opinions on others is another nail in their own freedom and standing.... so let them.
The UK has no need to reciprocate.... doing nothing is the right thing.

Oh no, you didn't fail at murder. You failed at profiting from murder. Argentina's history is as murderous as any other country's, it's just the fact that you fail so hard that limits the scale.
The war of 1982 and the planned subsequent invasion of Chile shows how peaceable and non-murderous you wonderful lovely argentines are. It also shows how 14000 argentines operating under land-based air cover are forced to surrender by a land force less than ONE TENTH your size having to sail literally halfway round the world to curtail your imperialist ideas.
In short, you argies love to demonise the western powers for imperialism and colonialism because we have historically been pretty good at it. It's not that you are morally or ethically above such things, it's just that whenever you try it you FAIL UTTERLY.
The slave has been around since the world first had people,

How could you be different?
All the immigrants came from the same places, disenfranchised the same original inhabitants, and revolted against the same European states, in the same time frame. You even had the same bunch of 'revolutionary' leaders, like Simon Bolivar, revered in several LATAM countries as their liberator.
Same bunch of opportunistic pirates grabbing all you could, while jealously coveting anything the others had.

Another question to ask is how many ships are registered in Argentina. The vast majority of ships aren't registered in their true country of origin. The same applies to aircraft. Obscure little places like the Isle of Mann, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands hold many registrations between them of hulls that never even visit their shores.
@79 “We are different from Latin Americans, and we are certainly thank goodness not European, we renounced that horrific fate long ago. And thankfully we are far away from the North Americans. ”
Dec 02nd, 2012 - 01:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If we deconstruct what he's saying, is that as they are racially Fascist Italians and Nazi Germans, they are different to Latin Americans who are typically local genetics combined with spanish conquistadorian stock. They're not European because they left and renounced Europe after WWII when they were shamefully beaten and cast back into the shadows of mordor (south america). They're thankful that they're not North Americans because the USA was partially instrumental in the demise of their ideology (along with the commonwealth and russia) during WWII.
These adherents to Nestoranity seem to be fuelled by bitterness somewhat. This Tobias chap, likely suffered some kind of rape at the hands of La Campora, and was kept in a hole in the ground as a pet by Maximo. He's now probably incapable of exhibiting thoughts that are different to those in his book, I will get rich off thee, argentina by Nestor himself.
I just cannot wait for Christina to lead them out of slavery and into exile in the Antarctic where Uncle Hitler and Nestor himself remain waiting for them

A flie on the wall in Seabourn's Ushuaia office heard the following conversation:
Dec 02nd, 2012 - 05:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Arg.: Are you going to the Islas Malvinas? (wink-wink)
Seabourn rep.: Well, next port is Port William on the Falkland Islands
Arg.: Oh, but definitely not the Islas Malvinas? (wink-wink)
Seabourn rep.: Ah, I get it! No, of course not, certainly not!
Arg.: Thank god, or else we stood to lose the 500,000 US$ your passengers are about to spend in Ushuaia
Brits: ”Are you really dying of an awful, painful form of cancer? (no wink)
Dec 03rd, 2012 - 02:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0Libyian terrorist: Yes (no wink)
Brits: do you need FUEL for the trip home? (wink)
Libyian terrorist: no, you can have it (wink-wink-wink-wink-wink)
Brits: thank god, or else we would have had to stand on principle to please our American overlords, and with the North Sea wells shriveling have to spend some cold winters...
Ah! Mohammed team from UK striking again...

I dont know why anybody takes Nostro the sock-puppet seriously.. he spends half his time on a thesaurus trying to find words that make him sound clever and the other half of the time foaming at the mouth...he's one of the few people on this site that makes Conqueror look rational.
He's a less original thinker though, which says even more... wont answer a straight questions and whose job is to side-track discussion away form the topic (whenever its perceived as being negative toward the CFK elite)
Shed-Time has Nostros measure though:
Nostro is Saruman shouting defiance down at everyone whilst the ruins of Isengard lie all around him. ... B-K, Steve-32 & DoD his sock-puppet wormtongue & goblins.
Nice to see something honest written on www.loveargentina.org
Dec 03rd, 2012 - 02:33 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentine culture has been primarily informed and influenced by its European roots. Buenos Aires is undeniably the most European city in South America and considered by many its cultural capital, due both to the prevalence of people of European descent and to conscious imitation.

Dec 03rd, 2012 - 07:33 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I think Argentine's should board this ship and expropiate it for breaking the law as the vulture did with our ship libertad. I hope I am in Argentina when this pirate ship comes around I will have no mercy and get all the pirate crew to walk the plank, that's the only way Argentine's will get respect from the foreigners. In libya they had to go as far as burning the US embassy to getbtheir point across, I am sure there are enough Argentine's who feel like me. So let's meet up and join the struggle against theft, murder and terrorism.
