Jan 05th, 2013 - 04:55 am - Link - Report abuse 0it appears to slowly be abandoning one that it used to start at!
3 countries last year...two and half this year. More exciting things to do in Mar del Plata this year...like watch them trying to get 'Liberturd' off a mud bank..... http://www.buenosairesherald.com/article/120843/frigate-homecoming-stuck-in-the-mud
Jan 05th, 2013 - 05:16 am - Link - Report abuse 0According to Argentine authorities the Dakar rally represented an input of 294 million dollars to the Argentine economy in 2012.
Jan 05th, 2013 - 07:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Was this 293 million USD robbed from everybody who attended and spectated then?
THAT was why AG lost out again: good old corruption, armed robbery and all the usual AG benefits that visitors get from this shit hole.
Nobody in AG read the “Teams Report” last year?
I am amazed that the teams have even stood for the diversion into AG land this year. If the argie crooks and wanabe gangsters (ha, ha, ha) get up to their old tricks again this year that will be the end of ANY AG involvement for future events.
ChrisR, your obsession with AG as all bad is trully disturbing. Seek help.

Jan 07th, 2013 - 11:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0But my 'obsession' only mirrors yours for the UK.
BTW, I know I exaggerated the numbers but it is true that AG almost lost the entire Dakar because of the usual problems with armed robbery, etc, but focussed on the teams taking part.
You should read the team report for yourself, you will see I am not lying.
I NEVER lie but perhaps super-exaggerate the numbers so they are obviously a wind up for amusement purposes (my amusement that is).

Jan 07th, 2013 - 06:06 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You forgot the big event in 2007 where all the competitor's cars were delivered to the Cordoba stadium for the following phase of the race...the drivers and crews unfortunately, were still sleeping the night on the floor at Aeroparque... Fantastic organisation and planning eh?
Hopefully we will have a successful run, minus the accident, injuries and tragedies, of years before of course.
Jan 07th, 2013 - 10:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Good planning by organizers as in years past. Good policy of rotating and sharing venues as in years before. Good Show!!
