Tourism is as vital for citizens of Argentine Patagonian ports as it is for the Falkland Islands and the southern Chilean ports where these vessels seasonally visit. Thuggery and intimidation inflicted on innocent passengers is beyond reproach and utterly shameful.

OK, The passangers should be informed beforehand that Argentines who behave like bullys might give you a hard time so, do you want to go ashore and spend your money, believe me the power is in the passangers hands and Argentines would soon stop this shit, mind you they are use to commercial suicide so perhaps not

No incidents were reported. Could it be that the local population are finally seeing, that the only people being hurt by these actions, were themselfs?

Well maybe Dr Think had gone fishing and was not there to welcome the passengers disembarking at Porth Madryn?

    No incidents reported because......:

The “Star Princess” has cancelled her Malvinas leg.........

Ergo; the “Star Princess”, all her passengers and crew are most welcomed to enjoy the legendary hospitality and friendliness of us, Chubutenses....

I must have confused the “Star Princess” with some of the many other Cruise Ships that have cancelled their Malvinas leg….
They all look alike to me...

    Anyhow…..
No more Cacen Ddu Patagonia for the “Star Princess” ....
We will have to continue pressuring them.....

You mean breaking into their offices and assaulting and robbing their passengers. That sure should work Augustus.

Of course the the traders and people of Puerto Madryn had absolutely no idea, this particular Cruise ship, was then going on to call at Stanley, did they?

I mean there is no way they would have allowed them to spend their money there, if they had known, is there? or maybe they just showed something that's missing from elsewhere in their country, common bloody sense, and did not ask!

You would think the Rgs would be more worried about the peso at 7.07/1U$ or that 6/10 bills used for purchases is of $100 denomination,
Nah all is well, all is well.
Methinks Crissy will be slipping an extra zero on all the bills sometime very soon.

    19 Reality Check

In fairness to our deadbeat source, he was quite correct. The ship isn't calling into the Malvinas. Nor is any other ship for that matter.

Less than 200nm to sail now. The 110 is all clean and ready to go. Shining like the Tower of Hercules.

    Chuckle chuckle.

I think Captain Jack Kirchner (see the rather surreal thread about ARA Libertad) is on her way there by the look of her. Maybe her and Hugo are going to go together. Couple of big Cubans in their mouths.

As for the Princess; £20,000 well spent by the boys from the Reform Club.

I may be imagining this, but didn't the Mayor of Puerto Madryn, or the Governor of Chubut, or some equally august personage, go on record at the end of last season as saying that all cruise ships were welcome and he didn't care where they'd been or where they were going? Or did I dream it? I think he had some pretty choice words about the authorities in Ushuaia as well. Wise chap.

#1 we Argentines feel that the same way about traveling to Islas Malvinas Argentina, but UK travel documents are worst then buying a lottery ticket. If we Argentines can't visit Islas Malvinas Argentina neither can anyone else. I think the international legal name for it is pari pasu. You should rename yourself coca Cola the name is more popular then the fakland holdings.
#2 I don't think you know much about Argentina, tourism was never nor will ever be our forte, besides the tourist industry is loaded with English speaking child molesters who fuel child abuse and prostitution all around tourist hot spots. I am 100% sure that Argentina will make a lot more money from fishing licenses and oil driling permits and taxes on exported raw material. Tourism is just a tool to keep a country poor unless you tax imports like the brits do in cayman island. Economic suicide is for nancys, I support a nuclear defense program 100% made in Argentina.
#3 a surprise visit can't be targeted. Why didn't mercopress tell us sooner we could have arranged a von fire at their head office similar to the ones in belfast, Imagine a riot against brits in Argentina.
    #4 that's right.
#7 we all know what happened to the boy who cryed wolf too many times don't we?
#13 if the british retards are not embarrassed to troll Argentine news links to be abused by Latinos why should think be? the tittanic sunk and people thought it was impossible, UK is not an exception.
#16 nothing is ever done over night, everything takes sacrifices, support and a lot of encouragement. That's why we should focus on a nuclear defense program 100% made in Argentina. Action talks bs walks.
#18 pressure them like the english pressures ireland and scotland. Last night the brits set the the city on fire, we should follow their example.

Have you tried to visit the Falkland Islands? All you need is a return air ticket and a passport. It isn't that hard. We even let Argentines in.
You aren't doing much of a job at stopping other people visiting are you?
I think you'd better get on with that nuclear weapons programme.

Think - wishfull thinking- so far only one line has formally cancelled 2 calls here - another did - but recently re-instated them. A very large line has actually cancelled ALL Arg ports off both its vessels though, and left Falklands on the list.
Veendam missed off 2 - but one was windy anyway so she really only missed one call under pressure.
She has confirmed she will be making all from now on . Two large lines have warned BA in plain English - mess with our tourists or su - and 2013-14 we move elsewhere.
Reality is that your provincial Governor has common sense. Asd does that of Ushuaia as regards the antarctic expedition ships who also come here- he would not want to loose them all to Chile!

All the nutters in B.A. are doing is making your nation look stupid.
Oh - by the way - each summer many HUNDREDS of Argentine citizens come on cruises from BA to Stanley - many come to visit and pay their respects at the Argentine War Cemetery - 4 coaches taking approx 170 there tomorrow off the Princess - would you want to prevent your citizens being able to do this?
Your idiot President we know does! Thankfully she is failing!
