the biggest Red Tape bundle you have ever seen
a giant slush fund to make things happen
despachantes for everything
pressure for speed that exceeds the pressure for safety.
In spite of all this (and a lot more!) it could help kick a lot of British companies out of first gear - or even out of reverse gear - when they see whole sky-lines changing as each day passes.
Imagine Birmingham in the days of the Industrial Revolution, remove the smoke and grime, add millions of traffic jams, and spread it across a State bigger than the UK.
Megacities and their problems, and land development without the throttling British planning constraints.
Here things can be made to happen!
Drag the EU with you, you can't do it on your own.
Bring your Olympic city regeneration and the Cross Rail project knowledge.
Then, with everything you have learned using and fighting foreign systems, go back to the UK and, with new energy, regenerate the 'home country'.
