I wonder if Israel will revoke Timmidman's Israeli citizenship over this?

That means that he'll have nowhere to run when the angry mob arrives to demand justice.

Or maybe they won't. They'll just wait for him to show up, then arrest him for treason against Israel.

Whichever way it goes down, it won't be pretty.

Yup, CFK and Timmidman really know how to p!ss off people who were supposed to be their allies.

Now that Argentina is in bed with Iran, they'll be put on Israel's enemy list. Not a place that most countries (especially those with very little international support) would opt for.

If Titmann had been in Europe 70 years ago he would have been in the 'meet and greet' team at the gates of Auschwitz.

    He is an unprincipled twat

it does make doing business with the argentinean government difficult as doing business with IRan instantly makes you at risk of giving pass-through payments which could violate sanctions laws. This could impact any future investment in government organistaions such as YPF...

His wikipedia page says “He was named editor-in-chief of La Tarde in 1976” so he was the editor in chief tarde, I would suggest he still is.

@1 Of course they won't renege on their promise of giving all of their god's chosen people a passport, just like he has a US passport so he can run back to his family in the USA when all this falls apart.

The Israelis will never turn their backs on the Argentines. They'll still be there giving them military support, military advisers, and military information, even with the lack-of-truth commission.

It's all just a part of their 'big game'

Argentina closed its doors to Jewish immigrants in 1938, now its opening its doors to that Iranian regime at the expense of its own people. Typical.

Seems they have still failed to grasp the distinction between sovereignity and impunity.

Typical Argie behaviour they continually isolate themselves on the world stage. Good for them the sooner they get kicked in to touch by the IMF, WTO, G20 ect the better.

Oh well, Israel, having helped Argentina out with Dagger aircraft and weapons to attack the British in 1982, here is the thanks you get. I have to say that the entire process of a Truth Commission looks like complicity after the fact to me.

Mind you, the events of 1982 made Libya and Israel friends of the Junta, despite their differences. Hopefully, the Israelis will learn to have some principles from now on. If I were Jewish and Argentine, I'd keep my passport handy, and an eye on the door.

    Dear mr tinman,
There are two kinds of men,
    A man who brags,
Or a man who does it,
Why not go tell the Israelis to their faces what you think of them,
After all, not so long ago you were praising them for there support over the Falklands,

The ‘memorandum of understanding’ that includes the creation of a ‘truth commission’

A truth commission, there's an oxymoron if there was one, involving two of the most untruthful nations on the planet.
