Erm, who cancelled the meeting? Who refused to talk the the proper people regarding the Falklands? Who has a track record of lying in all forums?

Seriously, do the Malvinists believe everything that Twitterman sprouts? How moronic must someone be to believe this tripe?

Now it's Nuclear weapons on the Islands, lol.

... and according to the UN “it is a colony of implanted inhabitants from a colonial power”.

When did the UN say “it is a colony of implanted inhabitants from a colonial power”.??

I think Tinman is putting his words into Ban Ki Moon's mouth. The UN should issue a confirmation or denial - PDQ!

The British government not permitting talks about the Falklands, nuclear weapons being present on the islands, resources being 'stolen' by a 'colonial power'...

...sorry Timmerman, but what colour is the sky in your universe?

Yes Hector - there are nuclear weapons in the Falklands. We've dragged a trident sub out of the water and parked it on Stanley High St to reassure the locals. If you could afford some spy satellites you'd be able to see it.

Would you like me to send you a picture? (anyone any good with photoshop?)

Argentinians must be very very stupid if they haven't got the capability of reading the news and seeing that it was Timmerman who turned down the meeting because of some requirements he had (his reasons are his own, we care not).

The fact is, the man continuously demanded talks and when he was offered talks and for his own reasons decided he didn't want them. The matter is now closed.

He can have a party with 18 of the 1'800'000 italian MPs (their cost of government is huge), but it's hardly representative of the international community.

    True democracy in action.

Given the distances from BA for these resources, maybe London should complain to the UN about Algeria's gas production.

And while we are at it the next time Spain winges about Gib we should point out Spain is on our continental self and therefore belongs to the UK. All we have to do is annex and murder our way through France and it will be clear to everyone at the UN that Spain is a natural continuation of UK territory.

It all seems to bonkers to even think of trying, but some people lap it up.

Speaking of some people, do we know which nutjobs he is going to speak to yet.

@17 This is no substantial change in policy. The British Government has always said that the Islanders would have to be part of any discussion.

Argentina wouldn't be able to close SA to the EU. They could close their own borders though but considing the EU accounts for about 20% of Argentina's trade (and only 0.9% going the other way) this would only end up hurting the people on the street in Argentina.

Europe hasn't been able to kick Britains arse since...er...well ever, actually.

They've tried, but they always seem to come a cropper, what does that tell you?

Argentina can only send weak messages to Europe, it hasn't, and never has had the ability to send strong messages. Maybe one day, when you grow up, you'll understand what politics and diplomacy are all about, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The EU needs the UK far more than the EU needs Argentina.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

By the way, Dany, how are your plans for invading the Falklands going? Have you figured out how to get all those men you plan on sacarificing to the Islands yet?

Yes and? What is your point?

You are lying like all Britons the EU (with the exception of France once but no much) never backed Britain in Malvinas cause. No even US is going to commit this stupidity.

None is going to give a DS or be involve in any conflict with Argentina or SA because you want to play de colonialist in the XXI century.
And in fact EU is tired of crying Britons so you will be faster than Greece out of the EU and the French would be more than Happy with that.

    @LEPRecon

And how do you know that if you even are considered European in the union and soon you will be out?

    All cooked mate.

    @28 - Dany

You really talk bollocks don't you? Right now because of the EU imposed tax on financial transactions, banks are setting up in the City of London.

I don't see how that would change if Britain decided to leave the EU, which isn't anytime soon, because the referendum on it won't be until 2015.

And since the UK in a net contributor to the EU (that means we put more money in than we get out), yes we are more important to the EU than Argentina is.

By the way Dany, Brazil is busy trading with the UK, as is Peru, Chile and Uruguay. Billions of US dollars worth of trade per year, with all parties very happy.

It always astounds me how you La Campora trolls truly believe that you speak for all of South America, when the rest of South America are doing very well without Argentina.

Argentina's economic policy is poison, and no one, not even your neighbours, support it.

“Iran is better that Ukistan has a lot of oil and needs a lot to import.”

This quote is strange. I thought Argentina had lots of oil, oh wait, you do, but because your government is a bunch of gangsters you can't get anyone to invest in it.

So instead, you get into bed with a country responisble for murdering nearly 100 Argentine citizens, and injuring nearly 200 more. Nice moral code you have. Oh, but I forgot, you're a NAZI, so you don't care what happens to a bunch of Jews, and if so non-Jews died in the attack, so what. The end justifies the means, doesn't it, Dany? For you NAZI's it does.

Argentina had got into bed with the Devil, and is in danger of being cast out of the international community. One step wrong, and the UN will end up imposing sanctions on Argentina, and then you wouldn't be able to trade your soya, and you wouldn't be able to import oil.

But that's okay, because Argentina doesn't need anyone, does it? Except Iran...LMFAO.

By the way Dany, how are your invasion plans going?

Also a lie, if we have ever been called that in the UN it will have been by Argentina (or possibly Venezuela)

“These are Argentine resources and are being exploited by a colonial power”

there wont be any talks with ANY other country regarding the status of The falklands full stop unless The Falklanders desire it.

    Meanwhile in the real world...

UK near to loose its AAA
UK GDP shrank and over passed by France
UK near to be out of EU
UK triple dip sad but is true
UK Exports dropping as have been the trend for so long
    UK govt. Weak
UK’s only economic solution Heathrow terminal 8 to Bombay.
And as usual, no money, no carriers, no jets, no army, no jobs, no hope or Bob Hope, no friends and isolation is the new most often used word on this days after Pyjamas, Kebabs and Curry.

Sad, very sad once Britain a world power that dominated the seas and the industrialised world, now turned into a branch hopeless land. And all made by them selves without any help.

    @Dany Berger

Wheres the humility and rationality in your comments? You just seem feel of hate. Wasting your time waiting for others to fail rather than focusing on improving your own country.

Britain needs to evolve. But its always been thus. And yet the British still have more opportunity and live in a more stable society.

If Britain is failing what is ARgentina doing with all those resources and opportunities it has?

Let me repeat this - ARgentina has 17 - thats 17 - times more land per person than the UK. ARgentina should be richer a reasonably egailtarian country and yet it clearly isnt. Argentina is a country deeply divided into 2 distinct halves, 25% inflation, outlook not looking good . The best you can do is look for every failing in the UK no matter how small to avoid looking at your country's own problems.

    @Tobers
    Tobby where are you from?

We European are like this we love to see someone else shit while living in our own toilette. That always was the reason why we fought so many wars in Europe.

Going back to your post don't tolerate others people opinion and critics?
You can say whatever you want over Argentina or Germany.

I'm becoming and specialist on UK shit, financial problems, etc.

Lest says that I'm doing the work of “The Economist”, BBC & FT but free of charges to tell to the blind British what is going on on their own country.

Can you is pure service and free.

Am I not a good guy?

You've never read your own propaganda press that criticises everyone around the world while hides the UK shit under the carpet?

Are you against freedom of expression? free press? or what?

----I'm becoming and specialist on UK shit, financial problems, etc---

It might be better that you become a specialist on Peronism and Nationalism and why Argentina hasnt managed to stabilise and enrich its inhabitants despite the massive advantage it has over 90 % of the countries in the world.

    “no carriers”

The ones we're building are the biggest UK has ever had-and you forget we have actually still got two carriers.

    “no jets”

Errr No, we have 4 Typhoons on the Falklands and we're sending 1 more for the referendum, which can blast all of your jets (humorously called Fingers and Pampers) to kingdom come.

    “no army”

Its twice the size of your amateur outfit and unlike yours its got combat experience. Still our basic training progresses beyond yours which involves flying white flags and training to shoot unarmed people.

    “no friends”

Quite a few in Europe begging us to stay in the EU and the USA is a handy friend. Remember in 82 when the USA initially were neutral in the Falklands campaign and then helped us when your side rejected their peace initiative?

“once Britain a world power that dominated the seas”

Sad isn't it that these days we only neeed 4 ships in the South Atlantic to get your lot to wet themselves with panic?
Your navy can't even maintain its ships, though I am impressed with the Trinidad's interesting tactic of sailing stationary on its' side.

That bit looks more imposing on the barge than any of the 'ships' the argie prats have got in their laugh-a-minute 'navy’.

Have they got any fighting ships that can ACTUALLY go to sea without sinking or stopping because the electrical system set itself on fire?

    Ha, ha, ha.
