Hague ‘open’ to Timerman but if talks refer to Falklands, Islanders should be present
Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Monday that he continues ‘open’ to a meeting with his peer from Argentina, Hector Timerman, although he insisted that if the talks refer to Falklands’ issues, representatives from the Islands should be present. Read full article

You don't need to read very far. UN Charter, Chapter 1, Article 1, Paragraph 2.
If you want to claim that the Falkland Islanders are not people go to the ICJ. It is their country and they will decide their future with or without your support.
If you can prove that they are not people then you might be on to a winner but I think you are up against it.
Do this or STFU you are embarrassing yourselves.
Seems that the concept of the Untermensch is not a thing of the past and suprise, suprise, resurected by the very country that gave shelter to the evil basards that so enthusiasticaly embraced it!

Do they not realise how they are coming across when they say that the Falkland Islanders have no human rights, it's a shame that Brazil feels compelled to being pulled down by their filthy duplicitous Argentine neighbours.

If a Falkland representative ever meets with Tinman, please tell him that the Argentines would like that the government do something to lower the high inflation rate of 25% that all the citizens suffer with rising food prices.Please tell him that the government do something to protect its citizen from the high crime rate that the people suffer. The people want safe streets. Also tell him, that the Argentines want that the government clean up its house by getting rid of all the corrupt officials in government. They want an end of corruption in the government. With these three items will be enough. Thank you Falkland Island representative, you will really help the Argentines.

I think this latest round of idiocy is due to being censured by the IMF.
They don't know what to do, they don't know how to fix the problems that they caused, so they fall back on the only thing they can do: Shout loudly, tell whopping great lies, and try to play the victim card.
But less and less this is working with the ordinary Argentine citizens, who are struggling to make ends meet. So the rhetoric gets even more hysterical.
It won't be long know before CFK is legging it to her helicopter just a few steps ahead of the angry mob. One can only hope that she trips before getting there....
He is losing face on a grand scale! He's a weasel!

Mr T will feel the full blast of British feelings on the Falklands when he meets the Parliamentartians. He will not have a comfortable time there.

Not really surprised at Brazil being so open about supporting Argentina's claim, but hopefully the UN will be really strong in support of the Islanders' self determination following the referendum! I will watch that with great interest although I am sure I will be disappointed!

Lafone fleeced the Falklands without ever setting foot there, Lafone stole from the Falklands with conman deals. Nothing was stolen from Lafone you muppet.
The UK did not steal land from Vernet-he was given permission by the British to be there. Also it was the British government that paid Vernet compensation for losses (Argentina did not nor did the USA, who did not recognise Argentina sovereignty).
Vernet was largely disposessed by the USA in 1831, his fault as he commited piracy against US ships and paid the price-typical Argentine tactic actually, start a fight and then moan, whine and merrily fly the white flag when their asses are kicked.
Incidentally, Vernet's settlement was allowed to continue in 1833 under the British flag .
What you boneheads never point out is that Pinedo's sailors were mostly British nationals and so the most numeric nationality in the UPot RPs forces kicked off by the British were........British
What you boneheads also do not point out is that most of the rebellious garrison sent home by the British were tried by the United Provinces and executed by firing squad-not by Britain , by the United Provinces.
Your history research sucks pal, you need to do better than that.

There is even a square named after him in the Montevideo neighbourhood of El Cerro.
It seems almost as if you and I were speaking of different people. I wonder if you'd kindly share what you know about his actions regarding the Falklands?
Yes, perhaps the Falklands administration should have kept an eye on him-he was an excellent business man but the islands suffered as he killed most of the wild cattle after promising the government to provide some for the citizens and didn't. I will find what I discovered about him and provide a link. It could be that his business methods were sharp and the government in Stanley should have kept a closer check on his promises and contracts to the islands. Something interesting was that despite the Argentine's insistence that they were not allowed to settle in the Islands, Lafone did use 150 gauchos, many I believe settled in the Falklands-as you have raised doubt I will check what I researched is valid. I remember reading that lafone did not deliver all he promised in contracts and caused unsustainable damage to the wild cattle population.

Their gov. forces them to live with this inflation because the gov. does not recognize that there is inflation. Somebody has to help these people. They want a solution to the inflation problem and don't care a shit about the Falklands. Thank God that the Falklands are British or you would be having a good 25% inflation.
