UK expects Uruguay to respect the Falklands’ referendum, which is a three sided event
British ambassador in Uruguay Ben Lyster-Binns said the coming referendum in the Falkland Islands involves the people of the Islands, United Kingdom and Argentina and expects the Uruguayan government to respect the referendum even when Foreign Minister Luis Almagro anticipated that the country will not recognize the results of the ballot. Is this like when you say the UN doesn't recognise that the Falkland Islanders are people, and therefore have no right to self-determination? Then the UN General Secretary, Ban Ki-Moon, says that they are 'people' and have the right to self-determination. Not only that, but all those defunct UNGA resolutions you like spouting, ALL said the that the wishes of the Islanders (self-determination) have to be taken into account during any sovereignty talks.
Your foreign minister, Mr Timerman, has shown the world the reason Argentina shouldn't get their hands on the Islands. Everything he said was for consumption by gullible people like you. The International Community looked on with a mixture of amusement at his amateurish antics, and horror as he casually disregarded human rights, because they are inconvenient for Argentina's position.
And what did he actually achieve? He can back with a paper signed by 'the undersigned', but no actual signatures on it! His so-called group of 18 REFUSED to actually sign his ridiculous document, and they were 'no-doubt' hand-picked sichophants from a few countries. But NOT one of them was 'anybody' from a foreign government, NOT one of them represented the EU or the UN. So basically you had a group of no-bodies, and even the no-bodies, wouldn't sign Timerman's silly document.
His antics have completely destroyed Argentina's credibility diplomatically and politically. Your government has destroyed Argentina's credibility economically.
And yet despite all their rhetoric, the Falklands remain under the control of the Falklanders, and under the protection of the UK. The March referendum will show the world what the Islanders want.
Argentina's wants are irrelevant.

Perhaps it is the papers word rather than the Ambassadors.
I might be nit picking, but the Argentine would only jump on it to accuse us of colonial and imperial arrogance.

You don't dare do it, do you because you have no case whatever? Furthermore, the population of the Falklands, some of whom can trace their ancestry back to before 1833, don't want Argentinean rule.
They don't want to be a pariah nation under warning by the IMF, they don't want the influence of Chavez, Castro and Iran, they don't want corrupt politicians and police, they don't want 30% inflation, they don't want a fast depreciating currency, they dont want to live on $7 a day, they don't want Argentinas Mafia, they want to be able to walk out after dark without the threat of being raped mugged or murdered, they don't want a society where you have to have iron bars on your windows to keep out theives, they don't want any guns like you see as a 'must have' and they don't want Latin Alien Culture. And, in the referendum in March they will vote for what they want to retain, their association with Britain.
They do want to retain the British culture, the quiet village atmosphere of the their towns and villages, they do want their own independent government, they do want the friendship and protection of a powerful friendly nation, they do want no crime fraud or guns on the street, they do want wildlife and fisheries carefully and intelligently managed, they do want controlled tourism, they do want to retain their British heritage, the British education of their children and they also want peaceful and friendly relations with their neighbours. This last desire is constantly frustrated by the aggressive and vocal actions of Argentina who they do not like or trust.

But the UN officially refers to the Falkland Islands as the Falklands (malvinas) because they support the UK and Falklanders. Argentina should sue Britain for 4 trillions of dollars in concept of reparation for economic damages.
And if they don’t pay as always they do Argentina should confiscate British assets & companies until full payment is issue.

You might just be one case away from getting what you want. Alternatively you have a few weeks left to convince the Falkland Islanders what great colonial masters you would be. If they believe you then you can get the islands that way instead. And yet here you are.
The referendum's timing is perfect. Everything is falling apart in Argentina, I think they are shocked the IMF put them on the road to expulsion, I am very sure NYC courts will rule against them and WTO case is fast-tracked which they will lose.

So instead of just facing the UK military, you are also facing the rest of NATO's military, and the Commonwealth, and the UNSC.
You see, Dany, by your statements you have confirmed two things:
1. Argentina hasn't got the military capability to fight its way out of a wet paper bag, let alone invade the Falklands.
2. Argentina is a coward because it doesn't have the guts for a one on one fight, like any bully you are only 'brave' when you are surrounded by your mates.
Just like you were 'brave' in 1982 when you sent 10,000 troops to subdue a population of 2,000 unarmed civilians and 70 armed Royal Marines.
Then a significant number of British troops turned up and your 'bravado' evapourated, rather than put up a proper fight.
Your troops surrendered to a smaller force, that on the whole had less advanced weaponry than Argentine troops, and that force had to travel thousands of miles. A battle that every military expert on the planet said the UK couldn't win. Yet somehow we did win.

Once food importers can't import any more, they'll soon find that domestic producers don't want to sell in the rapidly deflating domestic market, preferring to export it.
So naturally CFK will have to pass more laws demanding that farmers satisfy domestic demand first, which will basically destroy argentina's trade surplus and eventually drive farms out of business, fueling further unemployment and adding an extra burden to the state's dwindling capital reserves necessitating even more inflationary measures and the whole sordid cycle begins again.

Well there was a long drawn out thread about the relevance of 'uti possidetis', 'uti possidetis juris', 'status quo ante bellum' and 'extinctive prescription' as relevant legal concepts under which to define the UK's undeniable legal right to the islands. His response was weak to say the least and pretty much stopped commenting after that. It was clear even in the eyes of the law that the UK's claim was stronger than was made out.

The problem is trying to turn a company around and most Argentinians that I know would fly any airline but AEROLINEAS.
