Disclaimer & comment rulesThe Italians will listen to anyone that shouts loudly enough and tells them that all problems are someone else's fault. Even if the appointment of Monti was undemocratic, bizarrely it was probably a much better option than anyone the italians themselves would have voted for, especially the southerners. While the educated north consider their candidates with a little judgement, the uneducated south will always go for the populist moron option.

No matter how corrupt and incompetent the politicians in your country or any other country seem at least none of them are trying to have their trial dates for malfeasance in public office and soliciting sex from a minor changed so they don't interfere with their election campaign.
