Typical Argentinian Troll .... HMS Argyll is of Cape Verde carrying out duties on her way to The Falklands. She doesnt need to rush south as it appears the Argentine navy is no longer a threat as it sinks in port. hahaha Cant even keep a ship upright when its tied up.... no wonder your navy stayed in port in 1982.

So you agree that The RG navy is an embarrassment then? BTW calling everyone a turnip is becoming slightly predictable and boring, some what like Cruella ....

Funny that, it would appear that since Argentina dont have a decent military then all armed forces are an embarrasment. could this opinion of yours have suddenly developed following the article earlier about the catholic priest murdered by the Argentinian military? Still over using the Turnip word, definately boring .

I take it then that you are using the common Argentine aproach .. deflection. You use my incorrect spelling to avoid answering the main thrust of my comment. And again the use of the Turnip word, not even amusing anymore. Masybe you would like to comment on the Argentine tax office giving the Falklands the status of BOT?

Still using the turnip word, still avoiding replying to my original post, still deflection, still wrong. If your tax office apply thier tax rules relating to foriegn countries to the Falklands, then they are confirming that which we all know, The Falklands are a BRITISH OVERSEAS TERRITORY... I.E they are British not Argentinian. absolute classis cruella cock up

    @15 - Think

Watching you get all 'angry' on these comment boards is highly amusing keep it up.

By the way, HMS Argyll is on patrol in the South Atlantic. I know you are not very good at geography, but the South Atlantic spans the distance from South America to Africa. The watery bit in the middle is the Atlantic, and it's south of the equator.

So the Royal Naval vessel is patrolling the South Atlantic.

And Argentina's navy is...sinking in dock, or only has enough money to put to sea for 10 days a year. Not much patrolling going on by Argentina, is there?

No wonder it's the Royal Navy always rescuing people in the South Atlantic, Argentina's navy is conspicious by it's absence.

    “Brainwash anybody?”

Yes. You. Either that or you are developing some serious head problems. There is nothing wrong in this article at all. It states NOTHING incorrect.

“Why didnt MercoPress write that in the first place?”

Because....MercoPress DID say that...It quite clearly states where the ship is and never once states that it is in the south Atlantic. It even goes as far to tell you where it is going up until December this year..

@1 Did you read this: http://en.mercopress.com/2013/02/19/hms-argyll-begins-her-west-africa-and-south-atlantic-tour Do try to keep up.
@3 Amazing! Someone doesn't realise that sailing from important Isles in the North Atlantic, a ship has to sail through the North Atlantic to get to the South Atlantic.
@5 To the best of my knowledge, argieland is the only place in the world that really does have armed Farces! Even the Falkland Islands has proper soldiers.
    @10 Relevance?
@12 Strange. “de facto” is Latin. It is generally accepted by intelligent, educated people that a Latin phrase in an English sentence is either shown in italics or in inverted commas. Nobody with a brain “capitalises” such words.
@13 HMS Argyll recently underwent a major refit. A new main gun, upgrades to the Sea Wolf missile system, new mounts for more small-calibre weapons, 2 new diesel generators and a new gas turbine engine. And so that argies can see what a proper Navy ship can do, it floats!

What's misleading about it? The article states that the vessel was off the coast of St. Verde, it doesn't say anywhere that it was in the S. Atlantic. The space shuttle has to travel through the earth's atmosphere to get to space, it's still a bloody space shuttle.

Think - and if they did the same thing in the same area whilst in transit past or exercising nearby would you refer( before she caught fire) to you Arg Antarctic Patrol Ship - Almirante Irizar - and an Arctic Patrol Ship just because she was north of the equator at the time?

HMS Argyll is indeed the current “South Atlantic Patrol Vessel” - just that she has to transit through - and naturally enough excercuse with her allies in those parts of the North Atlantic en route - still means she is designated as the S.A . Patrol ship though!
You really have been upset and rattled by the referendum implications - with all this ranting about English everything, Pope allegedly to mediate etc and now this little rant.

    “Article's title is misleading...”

Think, if you are mislead, it is your own cognitive functioning that is misleading you rather than the article you are posting on.

The article is extremely clear and and precise with it's information it goes as far to mention where the ship was as many as three times and then even provides an entire paragraph informing you where it is, and where it is going next.

Poor excuse for a troll, not thought out well at all.

    South Atlantic patrol HMS Argyll

    Its not misleading,
    Its how you interpret it,

    Example
Pacific fleet saves fishermen in the estuary.

Does this mean its no longer the pacific fleet because its in the Thames..
    mmmmm

    .

Don't be too hard on Alte Think, folks.
His world is tilting in a direction that he doesn't like.
The malvinistas were just so sure that “the whole world” supported them & now find that in harsh reality that hardly anyone does.
Quite possibly, Venezuela will head off on a new direction now that Chavez has kicked the bucket.
l would have thought that Argentina would have a lot more to worry about than our lslands.
Get over it, malvinistas, you'll never get OUR(that is to say: NOT YOURS) Islands.

Not only are you the only Turnip here, but your also a stupid hypocrite. You have the nerve to correct others spelling mistakes when you, in post 5, can not even spell the word “embarrassment” correctly. As you can see, it has 2 “S” not 1!!
