Cracking game, always nice to win, but there is something special about beating England, watched it on TV, atmosphere was fantastic!
Neighbours must have thought I was nuts, every time I shouted, Toby our Cocker, went crazy, running round the house barking, think he enjoyed the match as much as I did.
Politics aside, good luck to both teams on the upcoming England tour to Argentina, reckon we will see some good rugby, Pumas are getting better and better.

The Pumas lost but still got applauded by the crowd .If as Think suggests the game should be played in Y Wladffa Cumreig in Argentina I hope that the same spirit of courtecy and sportsmanship will apply

You know what I liked about it, after the matches, I have met and socialised with, Japanese, Romanians, Italians, French, Aussies, Kiwis, Canadians, yes and even bloody Argentinians. Never a bad word, all friendly and cordial, mind you some of the buggers can not sing, the French, now they were good.
Best match I ever saw was against Japan, Wales put 80 points past them, you would think it that was funny? Not a bit, everyone was commenting on how the Japanese played, never gave in, tackled all the time, even though their size disadvantaged them, two three players taking down one of ours, brilliant! Gave 110% all through the game. We all made sure they knew how much we admired there efforts, why? Because we wanted them to come back and maybe, just maybe, the score difference would not be so high the next time and the time after that.

Why can the Falklands Flag be found pinned up in several bars and restaurants in Punta Arenas?
Why have several thousand Chileans got relatives who live in the Islands?
Why to the media in the south refer to the Falkland Islands and not just Malvinas?
Why at the Airport and on the Airline do they call us the Falkland Islands and not just Malvinas?

As a Chilean Patagonian, born and grew in Punta Arenas, Magallanes, and living here I can say that the most of the inhabitants of this Región are supporters of the Falklands Islands cause because we have strongs tirs with their people from long time ago....And lately it have been reinforced by visits from both countries students, journalist, businessme, sports clubs, etc. and the medical support through our local clinic and Santiago´s clinic. The comercial ties have been kept even the Argentine blockade threat, helping the Falklander population to have a choice of fresh goods....
Our position is that the right self determination of the people is the first clause must be considered at the time to decide over the sovereignity.....specially when no territorial continuity exist with the neighbours countries....
So, a big hugh to all my Islanders friends that have expresed their wish at the polling cabins.....in such a democratic act.. well done...!!!

Despite that Argentina has 30 years of an open strategy of close relationship and brotherhood with Chile that upsets British goals, some Chileans in their Patagonia and Magallanes regions feel that sometimes our governments protect them better than the santiaguinos do.

Hope Islanders soon will have good profits from their oil found under their waters and their country then will be one of the richest per capita in the world ...Good for them...
And I´ve seen what the behaviour they show with all the foreign people living there if they keep a good way of life.....
It's known for all that the supporting words from the Chilean Gvt. are just to keep the snake into the bastket, but the real support is that the LAN flight , the Scout trip and permanent ties are doing its Works for our Falklanders friends....

Same all over the world. What is said in public doesnt always match what happens in reality though.
As one ex Chilean Foreign Minister once said - Perhaps 90% of Chileans back the Islanders rights of self determination and choice - but a Chilean Govt with a 5000-km border - will always vote with the 10%!
Its common sense economic reality - and we understand it here.

Aren't you still at odds over the Southern Patagonian Ice Field where you published a tourist map in 2006 placing the disputed region in argieland? Was that “open”? Also they have found a range of Argentine products to be cheaper if bought in Uruguay abd seafreighted to the Islands - thus several middleman have all put their margins on - but the price is still CHEAPER than same Argentine product if purchased in Ushuaia.
