Well I find myself agreeing with Stevie and Think on the comments made by Mujica, because this is not earth shattering news. The other famous quote about a-z theives is also in the opinion of many.

They even got tuerto right, even is the statement is wrong as Nestor was cross-eyed and not one-eyed.
You feel sorry for her?
What can I say, she must be a very lucky woman...
She tries so hard to be smart, relevant and project beauty but she is clearly uneducated, ignored by the civilized world and looks like an old cracked out hooker.
Apr 10th, 2013 - 12:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Her last trip to the USA was an embarrassment.
I feel sorry for her, she is a very sick old lady that will probably have the same end as Mussolini or Chauchesku.

Nothing or nobody will ever separate Uruguay from Argentina, there we have the public persona, however, we have also heard the private persona. Awful bloody things those microphones, nasty habit of picking up people vocalising their true feelings. You would have thought that those people familiar with them would be exercising care about what they say around them, apparently not, Gordon Brown for instance.

@27 Has somebody moved Nigeria? I thought it was in Africa. How do they take people's jobs? Usually, people take people's jobs when they can either do the jobs better or for less money. Are you suggesting that argies ask too much for doing nothing?
Again, when you say South America you mean Alba. It is part of but not the whole and very different than you are trying to imply.

Actually I don't mind immigrants, they know their place. They came here to work, escape their horrible country and make a better life for their families. Everything they can't do wherever they are coming from. We thrive on that. It is why we are one of the only large 1st world countries with a positive growth rate. It is good for the country and our future.

Though I do wonder if they dislike the English, there's that generic term again, why give them so much of their hard earned incomes? Why not travel to the Argentine our your part of the world, for that matter.
Real conundrum that.
Once abroad, UK holidaymakers spent 7 per cent more than last year, collectively burning through a million pounds every 12 minutes during the summer. The tourism deficit, representing the excess of British travellers' spending abroad over revenues from overseas visitors, soared by 15 per cent between June and August to £5.3 billion.

You are right, sometimes they are almost as arrogant as the Brits.
Do you notice , that he does not even deny anymore that there is a rift between Argentina and the rest of SA??
He has given up pretending to himself that Mujicas comments were anything but the truth and all of SA is agreeing and laughing WITH him.
All He can do is take a swipe at the Brits, and whatever he says about them, it doesn't change what Mujica revealed about SA 's true disdain for Argentina.
Sorry, Stevie. Only your need to be correct and your prejudices against the Brits comes through here.
Britain, Fslklands, UK, US, have nothing to do with this.

The Mexican government in an official release regretted the loss of “a figure of great prominence” in the political scenario of the UK and the world.

It does not matter what people feel about the Brits.
They have nothing to do with the disdain that Argentina feels for Uruguay and Uruguay's dislike of the Argentinisns because of it.
YOU introduced the Brits are arrogant comments.
Merely stating the obvious, perhaps, but the way the Argentine press reported it, that was a major 'slap in the face' to a narcissistic CFK who is also playing the 'widow card'.
To top it off, the Argentinian government sent an official nasty letter to Uruguay.
'Pissed off, wouldn't you say?
And then,
Uruguay laughed, and Mujica refused to apologise.
Yup, bit of a rift there - hurt feelings.
Crissy publically called old.

While you all go on about Mrs .Kirchner did nobody note the results of the poll ? If asked if they would like a president like Chavez in Uruguay 60 percent said no 40 percent yes . If they would vote for Maduro 67 percent said no , 33 percent yes.

You're capable of showing more intelligence.
Once I saw a couple of Americans (of the US variety) picking their teeth in a nice NYC restaurant. If I were you, what conclusion should I arrive at?
Finally some uruguayans are waking up and seeing that our southern neighbour is one to not bother with. If only Mujica finally did what was right and stopped listening to Christina's comments.
Apr 11th, 2013 - 12:53 am - Link - Report abuse 0Surely these polls are irrelevant because (according to Argentina) the Uruguayans are an 'implanted population' and are therefore not entitled to express their views nor is there a 'UN mandate' to allow them to do so.

I don't know about childish, I appreciated the way that mastershakejb kept bringing the discussion back on topic.
