South American football president Nicolas Leoz has resigned on Tuesday from FIFA powerful executive committee on health and personal grounds. Leoz was accused by the BBC Panorama program in November 2010 of taking bribes in the 1990s from the now defunct sports rights agency ISL. Read full article

And it took from the 1990's to get him to go.
He will be missed . Thanks to him the Conmebol HQ is now based here in Paraguay . A very impressive building close to the airport . He also convinced the Bourbon hotel chain to build a first class hotel close to the Conmebol building . Also a convention centre which is the best here . Well done , our friend , you did a lot for your country .
