Argentina's economic activity expanded 2.6% in March from a year earlier and 0.7% over February, the national statistics institute Indec said on Friday. Accumulated growth in the 12 months through March was 1.3%, down from 1.9% in full-year 2012. Read full article

May 18th, 2013 - 08:37 am - Link - Report abuse 0According with whom?
According with Martín Romero a researcher from University of Buenos Aires (CABA) the INDEC does not lie. And that it is a false assumption.
Now lets see how all this story started...
In 2007, Graciela Bevacqua was found selling privilege information from INDEC to privates companies so she was forced to demit and she was investigated by the justice for that crime.
As she was useful for “Clarin Miente”, “La Destruccion” and the dark opposition that none votes they turn her as a victim.
She was all over the media saying that INDEC figures are false but none have provide any evidence about that.
So I would like to challenge MP to prove with analytic proof how INDEC manipulate inflation.
I certainty know that they cannot provide any evidence of that because is a lie.
So Mercopress is widely accused of manipulating information...
According with???
Who else Danny!
Congratulations Argentina, well done..... Oh, wait. Ah INDEC.. Hmmmmm!

May 18th, 2013 - 10:59 am - Link - Report abuse 024% raises in one year.......one would assume that gives people excess money to save or play with.........but no.
You are like BK........praise a place you have not experienced.
Wish I lived in a country where 2.6% growth was a dissapointment, in Britain today that would count as an econmic miracle!
May 18th, 2013 - 11:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0Argentina has been in recession since NOV 2011. In civilized countries we call that a depression.
May 18th, 2013 - 11:56 am - Link - Report abuse 0CFK will never allow the inflation number to change so by Oct they'll start the IMF suspension.
That'll be fun to watch.

Will they cover the payments?
Will the courts rule them into a default?

@1 Muff Berger how much evidence do you need? People who actually live there like Simon68 tell you, Clarin who TMBOA constantly tries to shut up tells you, in fact any decent person trying to tell the truth who she tries to shut up, wake up, how can you deny all this shit? Are you telling us the IMF and the rest are all telling lies. Rgenweener always the victim.

May 19th, 2013 - 03:30 am - Link - Report abuse 0Your economy has has zero net growth in the last 7 years (since late 2006). In fact you have fewer jobs now than you did late in that year, even though millions and millions of more people have become adults and entered the workforce. The USA jajajaja.
In non-failed state nations we call that a failed state.

I just had the misfortune of watching part of a kindergarten theater rehearsal taping called eurovision. The most boring white people I have ever seen, and I think they were attempting to win some singing lessons, maybe it was one of those shows where the worst singer wins some coaching lessons.
And no naked women. No wonder that desolate continent is farked.
Only idiots would believe INDEC!
May 19th, 2013 - 05:41 am - Link - Report abuse 0What a national embarrassment. No wonder Argentineans get so upset when they have to defend something so blatantly corrupt and false as INDEC.
11. Toby facts always seem to burst your bubble, USA GDP 2005 12.40T 2012 14.99T so we grew the size of France's economy in that time.
May 19th, 2013 - 08:31 am - Link - Report abuse 0So I guess your statement is a lie.

how unfortunate

BTW do you want me to send you some toilet paper?

=====================================================
How about Torcuato di Tella University? How about the Freedom of Expression committee? How about the Congress index? I suppose I shouldn't mention the IMF to a Camporista? Why would Guillermo Moreno find it appropriate to fine people who produce alternative figures unless he was trying to shut them up? Apart from, as I understand, he's a natural thug fond of having interviews with a loaded gun on his desk?
@5 What's your problem? Everything has to be viewed in context. Considering the worth of the relevant economies, 2.6% in argieland is about the same as 0.5% in the UK. It's a bit like the situation of Scotland in reverse. Worth remembering as Scotland's economy is only slightly better than argieland's.
@11 You can't quarrel with yankeeboy's figures. Actually, the USA's growth was at its worst in 2009. In fact, if you take the overall trend from 2006 to 2013, it has been upward, starting from just over 0% in 2006 and rising to just under 2% at present. But you made me think. So I compared it to argieland's economy over the same period. Guess what? Argieland's trend is the other way. Basically, 2% in 2006 falling to just under 1% now. Want to take a look? http://www.tradingeconomics.com/argentina/gdp-growth And the UK? The trend is almost flat.
@13 Have I got it wrong? I thought it was Venezuela that was out of toilet paper and that argieland has plenty. Only they call it money!
@13
May 19th, 2013 - 01:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... you fool. And even more of a fool for thinking you can outsmart me.
You are comparing 2009 dollars with 2013 dollars? After QE1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... 154? There's like twice as many bills floating around now, adjust the dollar value and your GDP has shrunk. Your FED just does not account for this.
I'll say this for INDEC, at least they don't deny their numbers are subject to interpretation. Everyone knows the FED and US gov are lying in the numbers through their teeth. But that beats the British, they lie but not through teeth since they got none left.
Silly little monkey everyone uses U$ for GDP so your statement isn't logical.

That is what an anti-K economist (Orlando Ferreres) said the other day after giving his repor in witch says that the economy in april grew 3.2%
And I quote: ''WE CANNOT TALK ABOUT A RECESION WHEN THE ECONOMY IS GROWING''
Except that doesn't make any sense, the SOY crop is abysmal and cars to Brazil aren't selling, those are the 2 drivers of the economy and neither one growing enough to make up for the complete destruction of Real Estate and Construction markets.
May 19th, 2013 - 02:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So someone is fibbing
If it's an Rg talking they must by lying
It is shocking that the BCRA reserves are falling this time of year. It is catastrophic
and I am happy
BTW I just realized that CFK has the same wig, color and everything as the President on the Battlestar Galactica show from 2005. I wonder if she bought in bulk?
@yankeeboy, you do not get tired of looking like a fool, don't you? The guy does studies about the economy, he has an agancy and he's got more prestige than you could have in your entire pathetic life. Have you read the article? Car production is at historic high, crop is at historic high, compsuntion is at historic high, so why don't you go back to the cave you came from? Ugly neanderthal.
May 19th, 2013 - 07:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I say it again, the economy is growing, and you HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT... So, if you don't like this country why don't you go back to the wonderfull US? We do not need immigrants like you.
So you are happy that the country you live in is ''suppose'' to be falling apart? That show even more how sad and pathetic you are. I honestly, feel really sorry for you dude, go to therapy, they can help you.
And for your information, wigs don't have nothing to do in here, now you are even more and more pathetic... Poor sod!
None of you have provided any proof about that the statistics of INDEC are wrong or being manipulated.
May 19th, 2013 - 09:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0So please can you explain us what is the methodology used by INDEC (Formula, sample base, etc) to affirm that?
OMG save us from simpletons who can't see the forest for the trees.

Considering every month an alternative inflation statistic is announced under the privilege of parliament you would have to wonder what hole you have stuck your head in.
Inflation is easy to work out. But for some reason you think you are defending the average Argentinean by pretending that inflation is closer to 10% than 30%.
Sorry I don't have some pathetic YouTube clip to back up my argument, but I'm not 10 years old.
I guess the proof is getting a formal censure and on the track to removal from IMF. Then when the mullet headed retard begged them to look at the new formula last month he was laughed at.
May 19th, 2013 - 10:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You'd think that would be enough proof,
Sussie, if the economy was doing well BCRA reserves and Peso wouldn't be crashing. Now would they?

The index covered a basket sample of 818 products.

No you tell me why you say that the statistics are not reliable?
So after all that, the poor simpletons in INDEC still can't get an accurate inflation figure.
May 20th, 2013 - 04:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0Supposedly with all that expertise and with a supposedly superior system. INDEC still comes up with a rate that is equal to about a third of the actual rate.
Thanks Dany, for highlighted exactly how incompetent the Argentine government really is.
For those that aren't blinded by propoganda; here is a study of an inflation index using 26,333 items and 204,449 price changes over 3 years and 5 months for Argentina. And a comparison of the methodology and its accuracy with four other South American countries.
http://www.mit.edu/~afc/papers/Cavallo-Argentina.pdf
According to Dany, the larger the items covered in the index, the more accurate and superior it is.
That's why INDEC's statistics are not reliable because they can be disproven.
Thank you for this opportunity Dany, you never fail to show Argentina in a bad light.
@Anglotino
May 20th, 2013 - 05:00 am - Link - Report abuse 0Still you have any rational proof that we can see to back your statement.
Why because doesn’t exist the index showed by some deputies lack of credibility specially if you known them same were member of the former “Alianza” that made collapse Argentina in 2001.
It is a political index.
And do you show as evidence an index made by the son of Domingo Cavallo on line?
Are you really serious?
Tell me who can serious can made an index based on on line taken samples?
None.
The son of Domingo Cavallo founded a company called “DigiCuenta” that later went bust and all users lost their money and they disappeared like rats. Like his father after when broke Argentina seem it is in their DNA.
And you want me to trust such scammer idiots?
This is like the “good free debt index” made by Gordon Brown, Tony Blair and CaMoron.
Next what are you going to show me the “Peace Index” made by George Bush and Osama Bin Laden?
Thank you mate to show me how dumbass you are...
Poor Dany still can't prove INDEC's inflation rate is real!
May 20th, 2013 - 06:13 am - Link - Report abuse 0The son of Domingo Cavallo founded a company called “DigiCuenta” that later went bust and all users lost their money and they disappeared like rats.

Thank you for showing that you are a hypocrite.

My advice is to cash in all hard assets and put them into Arg Peso Immediately.
They say the avg blue peso will be 12/1 this year.
12/1

Seems bobo the clown is in the mid east telling the Arabs the world needs a new financial system.
