    Oh!
Economic mess should be very bad for govt. at present.

Trying to sell Britain at all cost everywhere.

    But who is gonna buy?

    @1 Dany

Once again you show that your grasp of economics is still as good as your grasp of tactics, that is, non-existant.

What whas CFK doing in the Far East last year, crawling through Vietcong tunnels in Vietnam? Having a holiday at public expense? Well in her case probably.

In business it is beneficial to advertise your products, otherwise how will the customer know what is available?

The UK is advertising itself, and has done a very good job at advertising itself. That is part of a government's remit, to increasing trade and profits for the country. A lesson Argentina should learn and quickly.

It's called 'soft' power, and the UK currently tops the world in this category.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2234726/Britain-tops-global-soft-power-list.html

You see, the Queen's Diamond Jubliee and the Olympics, plus numerous other 'events' run by Britain around the world, is showing the whole world just what we can offer.

Other countries high in the 'soft' power index are the USA and China. Argentina doesn't even make it, because quite frankly, you have no power of any kind, thanks to the inept and clownish antics of your government, such as having your ship impounded, announcing to the world that all you want is talks with the UK then refusing to attend (yes the world did notice that you know, you can lie about it as much as you want but everyone saw what your inept foreign minister did), unable to feed your own people in Antarctica, and so on and so forth.

Other countries are 'using' Argentina to get what they can out of you, and then they'll throw you away like and emtpy can.

Civilized countries who need state of the art medical products.
I am afraid that excludes Argentina as the term “civilized” does not apply. Also, you have no currency of any use outside Argentina.

Ken's not bad for a Tory actually, though I don't know how long he'll last in Cabinet now, given the concessions Cameron's giving to UKIP...

The important thing is to ignore Clarke. He's not really representative of British people. Basically, he's a loser. Concentrate on the companies offering cutting-edge healthcare products and services. It will be better than anything the third world can even imagine! There are “breakthrough” technologies. Strips of adhesive fabric to cover wounds instead of moss. Clean sheets and dressings. The importance of hygiene. Drugs for pain instead of pleasure.

So. there we have it. Two men, one a drug using cheat, who make a living from playing a child's game of kicking a ball around. Their world-wide influence being what ? Do they have a seat on the Security Council of the UN ? Have they made advancements in medicine and technology that benefit mankind ? No, they kick a football up and down a grass field.
I suppose that is the best Argentina can give us !

Still Maradona and Messi more influential in the world than the idiot in the pic above.

“Have they made advancements in medicine and technology that benefit mankind ?”

If you wouldn't be so ignorant you should know that the argies provided my discoveries and contribution to medicine to the world.
Dr. Posadas, Dr. Aguilar, Dr. Ayerza, Dr. Seeber, Dr. Méndez, Dr. Novaro, Dr. Arrillaga, Dr. Agote, Dr. Pavlosky, Dr. Castex, Dr. Bachmann, Dr. Bergna, Dr. Derechin, Dr. Houssay, Dr. Liotta, Dr. Favaloro, Dr. Laglyeze, etc, etc, etc.

Yes my ignorance is appalling. I have never heard of any of these people, yet, again, I do not spend my life trawling the net for examples.
OK, me this. What world wide advancements has Argentina made in the fields of medicine and technology in the last 10 years.
Does these exceed those that have been made in the UK ?

Your best argument was Maradona and Messi. I rest my case.
    Am I allowed a triumphant guffaw ?

If I sell tickets to a meeting in a stadium to see Maradona or Messi and I sell tickets to see Ken Clarke in a PUB, what would be empty?

    The stadium or the pub?

    Football players vs a doctor??

I know who I want when my family is sick.

I know what 3rd World parents would prefer.

Just like Argentina, sell the people the circus when they need healthcare.

“Let them eat cake!” Says CFK

    @11:
On the subject of medical breakthroughs, - If there is one single person that stands out amongst all others. The results of his work/discovery, and what now must be Billions of lives his drug has saved worldwide, it has to be Sir Alexander Flemming.

Unfortunately he was not from argentina.

If some of your member family gets sick and you call Kenneth Clarke the only thing you are gonna get is...

“Any enemy of John Major is an enemy of mine” ha ha

May be you will be lucky and he provides you the recipe used by “Dr. Norman Lamont” to get faster than a jet out from ERM.

Kenneth Clarke is a lawyer idiot and not a doctor in medicine.

He only was health secretary during Thatcher govt. Another show about how Brits Tories name anyone without the require skills in that field.

    @ Escoses Doido

Before Flemming Penicillin and Bayer Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) the aborigines in America (continent) used them as medicine and they also used alkaloid drugs from coca plants (cocaine also invented by them), cannabis, etc. as anaesthetics.

So don’t you feel a little be ignorant idiot while writing that statement?

I would be if I would be you...

Sure, though the latest health secretary Jeremy Hunt takes the biscuit; not only is he not a doctor, he was due to be sacked from the Cabinet for months for his dodgy dealings with Murdoch as media secretary! Oh and a radio presenter once got his name wrong, no prizes for guessing what he said instead of Hunt...

I don’t know why these idiots don’t vote for him instead of crappy Tories like CaMoron.

May be is the UK indoctrination who knows or something in their food?

You are probably correct. Both are self seeking publicists and would do anything to have political power.

The British public have shown that they do not want George Galloway in any role except for entertainment value.

Of course CFK is not “miserablist”, as a Socislist, she has everyone else's money to play with.
She can afford to have humour, she has gotten away with robbing her people blind, intimidating others and branding them liars, whilst living extravagantly at their expense.

Yes, BK, she has an evil smirk.
