Chile in US visa waiver program; Obama receives Piñera at the White House
Chilean citizens have been chosen for the US Visa Waiver program, Chilean president Sebastián Piñera announced on Monday in Washington. He is scheduled to meet President Barack Obama at the White House on Tuesday to talk trade and other regional issues. Read full article

A little bit of trivia, of the 38 countries in this programme, Australia is the only country that does not reciprocate and still requires a visa for US citizens.
Kind of true re Australia but the States in effect does require a kind of visa for those of us in the waiver program - you need to apply for an “approval” through ESTA and pay a small fee. Not like the good old days when you could just get on the plane and complete a true waiver form...

What's there to see in Australia anyway? Might as well keep your pride and require visas since no one goes there anyway.

We can travel between many countries without need of passport. As the Pacific Alliance gets going, I think you will see a move towards complete freedom of movement between the participating countries.

The range of unique Marsupials, the great Barrier reef, Uluru, beautiful coastlines, the outback...and extraordinary range of fauna and flora...just for starters.
Add to that some of the architecture in Sydney is awesome.
Nostril, you could make a similar list for Argentina, a different list for the UK, and diverse and educational lists for Vietnam, India, Kenya, Jamaica or even Chad and Bhutan.
What's there to see anywhere? Try it, you might learn something..gotta be better than gobbing off on here from your mums house.

As far as Australia, my favorite part is the people as they are extremely friendly.
Let's hope my countrymen don't screw up a good thing.
16. Me too, that U$100 in U$ cash at Chile customs was a bit annoying! Nobody told me about it, they didn't take credit cards and I didn't have enough U$ on me. I had to go withdraw $ then change it to U$ then pay.

Brazil coming to the USA, now Chile, Uruguay wants talks with the USA, Colombia wants to join NATO, even Venezuela talked recently at cabinet level. Seems like Argentina and Bolivia still fight the good fight.......and stand up against trade and business....the cancer of economics. They have a good start.......collapsing economies and no foreign business.
