    Mmmm. Where to start?

I thought Brasil was becoming civilised and the people had all the jobs and money they wanted / needed?

Things like this clearly reinforce what some think of Brasil as a country trying to show itself as being capable of living with the civilised world but not really ready yet.

World Expo 2020? I don't think this has helped at all.

When your net minimum wages are still around EUR 250/month, and the costs of everything at least 50% but more likely 100% more expensive than e.g. the Netherlands, these protests are an absolute necessity!
Especially when the average 'delegado' earns between FIFTY and ONE HUNDRED TIMES your wages?!
