Jun 14th, 2013 - 08:32 am - Link - Report abuse 0Is Mercosur THAT desperate that it doesn't even ask Paraguay, if it still wants to come back to Mercosur? Guess yes, because they know Paraguay has no bigger interest to return to the bullies Club.
Don't make the mistake, Paraguay. You're better off OUT! But wait until the July 12 summit. Then send a representative. Nobody particularly important. He/she will only have to say a few words. Wait for the appropriate item on the agenda. Then have your rep. simply stand up, state that Paraguay is not interested in belonging to an organisation that interferes in its internal domestic affairs, and walk out. Let them see your contempt!

Jun 14th, 2013 - 09:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Most Uruguayans are ashamed of Uruguay's having ganged up on Paraguay with Argentina and Brazil. We apologised for the war of the Triple Alliance as far back as 1880, and our present government should apologise for this latest bit of backstabbing. Shame on Kirchner, Rousseff and Mujica. Viva Paraguay!

Jun 15th, 2013 - 11:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0I agree totally, but the tripartite this time of the Nazi and two commies were scared shitless by the rule of democracy in Paraguay in using their constitution correctly to remove the flock shagger, meant that THEY might be at threat of being chucked out on their ear.
Despicable action though and they should have been censured over the way they ganged together and treated a member of Mercosur.
But we now have Venezuela, FFS.
Suspending Paraguay had nothing to do with them impeaching their former President and everything to do with them blocking Venezualas membership. They wanted them out of the way. Now Venezuala is in they can come back, trade organisation my ass, it's a soap opera. Paraguay are better off out of it.
Jun 15th, 2013 - 04:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Still, look on the bright side of it, at least the rest of the world they want to trade with, got a damn good demonstration of how they operate.

Paraguay thinking of reentering Mercosur but does not accept Venezuela (My translation).
I would hope that Paraguay thinks this one through carefully, they have been a bit of a shining light in South America recently, I hope they don't let Mercosur stamp that light out.
