Kate Middleton christened the new ‘Royal Princess’ cruise ship in a ceremony in Southampton. The Duchess officially named the ship as she stood on the naming platform with the ship's Captain Tony Draper. “I name this ship Royal Princess. May God bless her and all who sail in her,” Middleton said. She then cut the rob that sent a bottle of Moet & Chandon champagne crashing into the ship, officially welcoming the new ship into the fleet of Princess Cruises. Read full article

@1 I agree. Who wrote this garbage? It is proper to refer to her as “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge” or “Her Royal Highness” or “The Duchess of Cambridge”. It is grossly insulting to refer to her as “Middleton”.

My understanding was that she was a millionairess before she had her royal status, besides our royal family bring way more revenue into the UK than they spend. They are value for money.

Also her husband has a regular paid job as a skilled Air sea rescue helicopter Pilot - and flew copilot on an RAF transport flight to Afghan and flew the return flight to Britain bringing home several dead servicemen to their families.
She is also a part time UNPAID voluntary Youth Group worker.

From Great Grand Daughter of a coal miner, to mother of a future King or Queen of Britian. Thought that sort of thing only happened in fairy tales?

One thing is for certain, with these two as parents, this country is going to have a great future monarch. I am only sorry I will not be around to see it, but my grand children will and that makes me good.
