Foreign politicians could have had their telephones and computers intercepted in G20 summit meetings in London in 2009, a group to which Argentina belongs, according to an exclusive report carried out by British newspaper The Guardian after it gained access to certain documents that could cause problems for the British government. Everyone does it, infact I think it would be more remiss if they hadn't have tapped their conversations, especially that mad bitch in Argentina.

Surely all politicians visiting foreign countries assume their communications to be vulnerable and so don't say anything of import? Is this not just new evidence telling us what everyone already knew?

    Exactly.

Everyone spies on everyone else be they enemy, neutral or friend. That's how the game is played, and everyone expects it.

It has been going on since the dawn of time. And when people watch their neighbours, or read a newspaper story of the private life of a celebrity, they are also involved in 'spying'.

The only thing that surprises me are all the people who are 'outraged' by this. Are they completely stupid or something. They really need to get a life.

Why don't we spy on Timrman and then publish it all on YouTube for the amusement of all and sundry!

Let's not forget that this is in The Guardian. A newspaper noted for its ability to employ lefty fruitcakes.

But just look at that picture: the cunt Brown shaking hands with another well known set of female genetalia (if the rumours are true).

Seems there still isn't conclusive evidence.

It was the smelly Brits who where outraged at Russian espionage activities.
They also where outraged at chinese activities
It's only when the Brits/yanks are caught everyone is supposed to expect it.
You are a true Brit aren't you.I mean in their worsed aspects.

    Obama shakes CFKs hand: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJuigaQDiUY
    10mins 12 sec.
(mercopress doing its teenage girl act omg he totally walked by her and then he said hi to Dilma and she was like standing right beside Brown)

    Anyway -
In the middle of a conference behind smiles and handshakes, during attempts at resolution and understanding.

Thats the exact reason why we have the perjoritive term
    'perfidious albion'.

Inviting neighbors to dinner ... and then secretly going through their handbag/coat.

When this comes out as true the world will see it as a complete lack of etiquette and worthy of Stalin.

Argentina should have seen what was coming when even Gordon Brown a complete idiot, would not discuss Falklands sovereignty with CFK
    @4
“Why don't we spy on Timrman and then publish it all on YouTube for the amusement of all and sundry!”

With this proviso-it must not be shown to the troops on the Falklands, in case they are disabled with uncontrolled laughter, thus allowing the RGs to invade with their ships towed in by tugboats.

    @8 Yuleno

No, the majority of us weren't outraged. The is standard operating procedure for every country in the world.

The only thing to get outraged about would be the failings of the security services if these attempts aren't stopped before they can do damage.

Now Yuleno, try and post something that actually makes sense. And see if you can stop resorting to name calling, because it really shows you up for the know nothing that you are.

“One of these meetings is remembered for Barack Obama snubbing Argentina’s Cristina Fernández, when the latter made a special effort to arrive early to greet the US president, but when she held out her hand he strangely walked straight past.” Why is it “strangely”. He could probably smell the rot and thought “Not touching THAT!”
@8 You misunderstand. Actually, no-one else could have done it. And it's taken “The Guardian” (spit) 4 years to find out. Bit late, eh? But now, everybody will be wondering who's tapping and hacking whom. This is clever because CFK or her cronies won't be able to “surprise” anyone. And that's the purpose of an “intelligence” service. But I understand your concern. In argieland, isn't “intelligence service” synonymous with “Gestapo”?
@9 No. IF this comes out to be true various world “leaders” will come out with expressions of shock. Meanwhile, their “intelligence services” will be saying “Why didn't we think of doing that?” “Thats the exact reason why we have the perjoritive term 'perfidious albion'. Really? Who's ”we“? The term actually originated with the French. And they know all about perfidy. Perhaps you'd like to draw a comparison with ”viveza criolla“? But I've got a better phrase for you. ”In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king“. And so I expect that we will keep one eye open and watch all you blind idiots stumbling around. You must be blind. Why else would you let an incompetent, thieving bitch run your country?
@11 Don't be daft. Argies don't have ”ships, they have hulks. Here's the detail. For 2013, only 15 of their 42 navy vessels are operational. Those 15 ships can manage less than 11 days at sea each. They can't even manage 6 months between them! Their submarine “force” is even better. There are 3 boats. In 2012, they managed a total of 19 hours submerged for all 3. No doubt with one foot on the bottom!

Obama's 2009 snub of Ms. Fernandez is one of the few things he has done of which I approve. CFK and her claque are not able to hide their naked greed trying to grab the Falkland's petroleum revenues. Their claim has no basis from history and none in the realpolitik of today. Hopefully, Argentina will vote the “lady” out of office and elect someone who will be able to put a beautiful country right.

To be perfectly honest all the countries that claim “outrage” are at it as well. Just better if you dont get caught doing it really :)

13 - LoL, The shock will be from other diplomats and intelligence agencies saying 'how could they be so stupid'. Im sure G.B isn't the first to think of doing this, it is however the present day first to risk it and get caught.

In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man just realized that it turns out he made a wrong turn and is in the kingdom of the fully sighted with egg on his face.

“You must be blind?” - eh, a privately held newspaper just infiltrated your governments records and published embarrassing secrets for the world to see .

Whos stumbling mumbling and grumbling now, wriggle wriggle, I expect to see govt spokespeople and committees, closed meetings with ambassadors, maybe some sacrificial lambs as penance.
    Dear Vladimir ....

14 Samuri Sue - Hopefully, Argentina will vote the “lady” out of office and elect someone who will be able to put a beautiful country right.

Again, don't go thinking her replacement will have a different policy on the islands. Your personal hatred for CFK is somewhat illogical.
Make your celebration very brief when she finally does step down.

Quite obviously getting caught is a major problem and failing to stop what is not identified is a major failing.
What a stupid position to have
Not getting caught means it hasn't be spotted therefore isn't known
Failing to stop means it hasn't been identified and therefore isn't known
No doubt are pinnacle of judgement Lep will not understand and will think it is too obvious to be intelligent, but how would spying that has not been identified not be wrong and when it has been identified be wrong just because it has been identified
Try using a little logic Lep and less stupidity that you aren't even aware of.Politics and logic do have problems with each other but that is because they are not the same.

So The Gruniad is publishing information that is prejudical to the stability of the state ...... if this gets any more like Julian Assange the staff of the Gruniad had better seek asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy.

The revealed information is no more interesting or unexpected than the Wikileaks 'revelations' (which largely showed the US in a good light).

The worst part of the article above is the picture. I felt almost physically sick at the sight of the then prime minister; I had forgotten just what revulsion he engendered in me.

Where were they before 2nd April 1982? An epic fail that cost the lives of 255 servicemen and 3 Islanders. If intelligence had got wind of it, one submarine or the rumour of one submarine, could have prevented the war.

There! good enough reasoning for why it goes on.
